Nazara Technologies Buys UK Game Publisher Curve Games for $29 Million

Nazara Technologies Buys UK Game Publisher Curve Games

Indian gaming company Nazara Technologies has purchased Curve Games, a UK-based game publisher, for $29 million (approximately ₹2.47 billion). The deal lets Nazara step beyond its mobile roots and dive into PC and console gaming in a big way.

Curve Games, previously known as Curve Digital, will keep its London office running, and the current team — including leadership — isn’t going anywhere. Everyone’s staying put.

The acquisition also includes Curve's in-house development studios — Runner Duck in the UK and IronOak Games in Canada.

"This is a perfect match for us," said Stuart Dinsey, Executive Chairman of Curve Games. "We're joining a company that truly understands games and technology, especially in the mobile space where we haven’t done much work yet."

According to PocketGamer, Curve Games has racked up over 100 million downloads across its game library. It’s known for hit titles like Human Fall Flat, For the King II, and Dungeons of Hinterberg. In 2024, Curve pulled in around £24.4 million ($32.6 million) in revenue.

Nitish Mittersain, CEO of Nazara Technologies, explained the move:

"Curve's expertise in PC and console publishing makes them an ideal partner as we grow beyond mobile into high-quality gaming across different platforms. This acquisition improves our capabilities, brings valuable game properties into our company, and strengthens our mission to build Nazara as a global gaming powerhouse from India."

This deal fits into Nazara’s larger strategy — building a diverse, global portfolio through smart acquisitions in gaming and sports media.

It's also worth noting this is Nazara’s second big UK buy, after picking up Fusebox Games last August for a similar price.

Nazara already owns the early learning app Kiddopia and esports/sports media platform Sportskeeda. Through its subsidiary NODWIN Gaming, it also holds stakes in big global esports orgs like Freaks 4U Gaming (100%) and Ninja Global.

For 2024, Curve Games reported ₹263.5 crore (GBP 24.4 million) in revenue, with ₹114.4 crore (GBP 10.6 million) in EBITDA and ₹49.6 crore (GBP 4.6 million) in profit before tax.
