What’s the Story of Ninja Gaiden 4?

The game takes place in a near-future Tokyo ravaged by the “Rain of Darkrot”, a catastrophic event tied to the corpse of the Dark Dragon from earlier games. Players take control of Yakumo, a prodigy of the Raven ninja clan who wields a unique Bloodraven Form fighting style.

Yakumo’s path eventually intertwines with the legendary Ryu Hayabusa, allowing players to switch between both characters as they fight cybernetic ninjas, monstrous fiends, and the chaos unleashed by the Darkrot.

Will Ninja Gaiden 4 Have DLC?

Yes. Team Ninja has already confirmed a story expansion titled “The Two Masters”, coming in 2026. This DLC will add new weapons for Ryu Hayabusa and additional story content. Deluxe Edition owners get the DLC bundled in automatically, while pricing for a standalone version has not yet been revealed.
