The June 2025 Xbox Games Showcase just wrapped up—and let’s be real, it was stacked. From heavy-hitting AAA reveals to quirky indie surprises, Microsoft went all in for this two-hour presentation.


We’re talking Call of Duty, Final Fantasy, Gears of War, and even a surprise comeback from Persona. If you missed the stream or just want a clean breakdown, here’s everything that went down.


Headliners & Big Reveals

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7

Microsoft closed the show with a cinematic teaser for Black Ops 7—and yep, the hype is already real.

Set in 2035, the game brings back jetpack movement, robotic enemies, and the return of David Mason. You’ll get:

  • A new Co-op Campaign

  • Multiplayer packed with fresh near-future maps

  • A return to Round-Based Zombies, now set in the heart of the Dark Aether

And yes, it's coming to last-gen consoles too.


Final Fantasy Comes to Xbox

It’s finally happening—Final Fantasy VII Remake and Final Fantasy XVI are both headed to Xbox.

Persona 4 Revival

A full remake of the 2008 classic Persona 4 is in the works! Atlus confirmed it’s coming to Xbox Series, PS5, and PC. No launch date yet, but development is underway.


Gears of War: Reloaded

A high-fidelity remake of the original Gears of War drops August 26, 2025, with 4K visuals, 120 FPS, cross-play, and cross-progression.


Sequels to Watch

Outer Wilds 2

Obsidian kicks things off with a glimpse at their anticipated sequel. A deeper showcase is on the way.


High on Life 2

Squanch Games is back with more vibrant chaos and irreverent humor in this FPS follow-up.


Ninja Gaiden 4

Yes, Ninja Gaiden is officially back! Team Ninja and PlatinumGames are teaming up for the fourth entry.

Invincible VS – A 3v3 brawler set in the Invincible comic universe.

Age of Mythology: Retold – Heavenly Spear – A new expansion with 12 gods and a standalone campaign.


The Blood of Dawnwalker – An ambitious vampire-themed RPG from Rebel Wolves.


Clockwork Revolution – A steampunk action adventure with time-manipulation mechanics.


Cronos: The New Dawn – Survival horror from the creators of The Medium.


Hardware: ROG Xbox Ally Handhelds

Microsoft and ASUS have unveiled their handheld Xbox consoles, codenamed Project Kennan, launching late 2025. Two versions are coming:

Windows 11 has been tweaked for handheld gaming with a new Xbox fullscreen mode, better Game Bar, and integrated ASUS Armoury Crate.

Xbox President Sarah Bond summed it up:“This is an Xbox you can hold in your hands.”

No pricing yet, but expect pre-orders later this year.


One More Thing...

Xbox CEO Phil Spencer confirmed a new Forza game is on the way next year, likely as part of Xbox’s 25th anniversary celebration in 2026. He teased this alongside upcoming titles like: Fable, Gears of War: E-Day.


Final Thoughts

Whether you're into RPGs, nostalgic remakes, chaotic indies, or bold hardware, Xbox delivered a meaty showcase. Sure, there was no word on The Elder Scrolls 6 or the future of Halo, but what we did get is enough to keep fans busy for the rest of 2025—and well into 2026.
