Starry Studios’ popular survival shooter Once Human is officially set to launch on mobile platforms on April 23.

Originally released in July 2024 for PC, the game quickly gained popularity and amassed over 10 million players on Steam in just a few months.

Set in a post-apocalyptic world, Once Human drops players onto the fictional island of Nalcott, a place devastated by an event known as Starfall. A strange alien substance called Stardust has spread across the land, mutating plants, animals, and even humans. Players take on the role of a Meta, a human who has undergone experimental enhancements, giving them unique abilities. To survive, they must battle mutated creatures and uncover the truth behind the powerful corporation pulling the strings.

To celebrate the launch, Starry Studios has also announced a giveaway featuring Steam gift cards, AirPods, and even an iPhone 16 for lucky participants. The port has already garnered over 30 million pre-registrations.

One of the major highlights of the mobile launch is its cross-platform compatibility. Players on mobile devices will be able to join forces with those on PC, making the experience more inclusive.

Upcoming Content and Expansions

Beyond the mobile launch, Once Human has an exciting roadmap ahead. Two new scenarios, Code: Broken and Code: Purification, will enter early access in May and June, respectively. Additionally, players will get early access to optimizations for the Way of Winter scenario. From July to September, the full versions of these scenarios, along with Code: Deviation, will be introduced.

Seasons 3 and 4 of the game’s Visional Wheels system are also set to roll out later this year.

Fans are also speculating about a possible console release. However, the developers have not made any official announcements yet.
