Why Different Release Times?
A phased rollout might feel slow for excited players, but it serves an important purpose. It allows developers to manage server loads, catch early bugs, and ensure quality control before the update reaches everyone. This way, the full release delivers a smoother experience for all.
What’s New in PUBG Mobile 4.3?
One of the first things players will notice after updating is a refreshed user interface. The developers have simplified the layout, adjusted the color scheme, and reduced visual clutter to give players a cleaner experience.
Alongside the UI tweaks comes a new Lobby Graphics Enhancement toggle. Turning it on improves resolution, shadow detail, and edge rendering, making outfits and vehicles look sharper.
Version 4.3 brings an exciting "Evolving Universe" themed mode to celebrate the anniversary. Players can roam the map to discover hidden treasures, which could include old weapons or skins from previous updates.
The update brings a solid lineup of new tools to the arsenal too. The M1 Garand is a semi-automatic 7.62 rifle known for its accuracy, high damage output. The Energy Shield is a deployable dome barrier that blocks bullets for 15 seconds. The Floating Thruster attaches to any vehicle and gives it a rechargeable nitro boost for extra speed. The Armored Flare Gun calls in a custom BRDM equipped with a .50 caliber machine gun, and passengers can fire while the vehicle is moving.
For the first time, players choose a tactical role before boarding the plane. Each role comes with perks that remain active throughout the match. The Healing role speeds up revives and post-rescue recovery. Perception lets you detect enemies and vehicles through walls while prone. Combat gives you a brief speed boost after knocking or eliminating an opponent. Detection temporarily marks enemies on the map after dealing damage to them. The Vehicle role reduces fuel consumption, lowers damage taken, and unlocks Nitro boost access.
The 8th anniversary also comes with a massive push for community-created content. The World of Wonder creator platform is getting an upgraded incentive system, and PUBG Mobile has announced a US $10 million prize pool to encourage players to try their hand at building custom experiences.
On the partnership front, PUBG Mobile has teamed up with rock band OneRepublic for the anniversary theme song. Players can listen to and own the track early through in-game events.
Large-scale offline celebrations across multiple countries are also being planned, along with free items for the community.
The Jujutsu Kaisen collaboration returns on March 13. This is the second time the two properties have joined forces. The first crossover happened back in 2022, when characters like Yuji Itadori, Megumi Fushiguro, Nobara Kugisaki, and Satoru Gojo were introduced as in-game cosplay sets.
As for MrBeast, a crossover appears to be in the works. PUBG Mobile's official account recently shared a 31-second teaser clip drawing from his "Last to Leave Their Circle Wins $500,000" video, integrating PUBG-themed elements like airdrops and shrinking zones. While confirmed in-game content has not been officially detailed, MrBeast has promoted PUBG Mobile-themed merchandise, so something is clearly brewing there.
