OnePlus, the well-known smartphone brand, has announced new partnerships with three big names in the Indian esports scene—Gods Reign, K9, and Cincinnati Kids.

Revealed on Friday, this move is part of OnePlus’ push to build a “gaming-first ecosystem” in India, showing just how seriously the company is taking mobile gaming.

Although the financial details haven’t been shared, the collaboration goes beyond just logos and branding. Each esports team will now carry the OnePlus name—say hello to OnePlus Gods Reign, OnePlus K9, and OnePlus Cincinnati Kids.

These squads are already big in the Indian gaming world, especially in titles like Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) and PUBG Mobile. Some of them also compete in other fan-favorite games like Free Fire, Counter-Strike 2, Pokémon, and even efootball-based esports titles.

The partnerships aim to bring a lot more than just name changes. OnePlus plans to work directly with these teams, incorporating its smartphones into their training and tournaments. This means OnePlus gets firsthand feedback from pro players—while also showcasing that its devices are made for serious gaming.

Both OnePlus and the esports orgs will also boost each other’s presence. The teams will wear OnePlus-branded jerseys, and in return, OnePlus will feature them in ad campaigns and on social media. Expect to see co-created videos, posts, and maybe even behind-the-scenes looks into the esports grind.

Let’s be honest—mobile gaming is absolutely huge in India. And with that in mind, it’s smart for phone brands like OnePlus to connect with the esports community. These kinds of deals help promote gaming-focused smartphones and also give a much-needed boost to India’s professional gaming scene.
