OTK Confirms Mizkif’s Termination: Why It Happened Before Emiru’s Claims

OTK has confirmed it fully severed ties with Mizkif, clarifying that his removal was finalized long before Emiru’s recent allegations, and tied instead to past controversies dating back to 2022–2023.

The Latest Fallout

The streaming world has been shaken once again by the ongoing controversy surrounding Matthew “Mizkif” Rinaudo, co-founder of One True King (OTK). On October 25, 2025, fellow streamer and OTK co-owner Emily “Emiru” Schunk accused Mizkif of sexual assault, harassment, and abuse during their past relationship. Her allegations quickly went viral, prompting Mizkif to respond live on Twitch, where he denied intimidation and stalking but admitted to being controlling and regretful about how their relationship ended.

Two days later, on October 27, 2025, OTK issued a statement supporting Emiru and confirming that Mizkif no longer has any ties to the organization. They emphasized that the decision to cut him off was made “some time ago” and was unrelated to Emiru’s recent claims.

Full statement reads:

“OTK fully supports its co-owner and sister Emiru and we stand by her side and admire her strength in coming forward and sharing her story. While Mizkif was one of several founders of OTK, the organization terminated its relationship with him some time ago for reasons unrelated to the recent events and he holds no stake in OTK or any of our other companies. Out of respect for those who have come forward, we will let their voices speak above ours.”

Timeline

To understand the current situation, it’s important to revisit Mizkif’s earlier controversies:

  • September 19, 2022: Mizkif was suspended from OTK following allegations that he helped cover up a 2021 sexual assault incident involving his former roommate, Matthew "CrazySlick" D'Angelo. The cover-up allegedly involved Mizkif and his then-girlfriend, Maya Higa, pressuring AdrianahLee to downplay the event as mere "harassment" to avoid disrupting their shared living situation.

  • December 31, 2022: After a third-party investigation by law firm Jackson Walker found no evidence of a cover-up, Mizkif was reinstated as a member.

  • January 2, 2023: Mizkif held a “comeback” stream, during which he made remarks widely criticized as insensitive toward sexual assault victims and racially prejudiced.

  • January 3, 2023: OTK suspended him from its board of directors, citing his “callous disregard” for the seriousness of sexual assault. While he remained a member, he lost leadership responsibilities.

  • October 27, 2025: OTK confirmed it had fully terminated all ties with Mizkif, stating he holds no stake in the organization or its companies.

Asmongold’s Clarification

A day before, in a reaction stream, Zack “Asmongold” Hoyt, another OTK co-founder, referenced Mizkif’s 2023 board removal directly. He also stressed that Mizkif’s removal from OTK was decided before Emiru’s recent allegations, promising the “real reason” will be revealed soon.

Asmongold explained that he has permission from the “person most affected” to reveal the full story if necessary, but for now, he’s deferring out of respect.
