PGL has announced an ambitious Counter-Strike 2 calendar for 2027 and 2028, featuring 15 Tier 1 tournaments across the two years.

For 2027, PGL has lined up six independent tournaments running from February through October, plus a major collaboration with the Perfect World Counter-Strike Asia Championships. The dates already confirmed include:
February 11–22, 2027
March 17–29, 2027
April 14–26, 2027
August 17–29, 2027
September 1–13, 2027
October 6–18, 2027
Perfect World Counter-Strike Asia Championships (date not specified)
Looking ahead, 2028 is shaping up to be one of the most ambitious years in Counter-Strike history. PGL has revealed eight Tier 1 events for that year alone, with tournaments scheduled from February through November:
February 9–21, 2028
March 22–April 3, 2028
April 19–May 1, 2028
August 16–28, 2028
August 31–September 11, 2028
October 4–16, 2028
November 1–13, 2028
This aligns with Valve’s updated Tournament Operation Requirements. These rules now require organizers to publish event schedules at least 22 months in advance for anything after December 2026. That means we’re seeing the future of Counter-Strike esports mapped out earlier than ever before. ESL has already announced six CS2 events for 2028.
The announcement comes on the heels of PGL Masters Bucharest, which wrapped up yesterday. Aurora took home the trophy, marking their biggest win to date
