PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium subscribers are set to lose a total of 13 games from the catalog this month. The removal is scheduled for August 19, the same day new titles arrive on the service.
While the fresh additions are certainly something to look forward to, the lineup of outgoing games may sting for many players. Two of the biggest losses are Star Wars Jedi: Survivor and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, both highly acclaimed titles that have been enjoyed by PS4 and PS5 users.
Sports fans will also feel the impact, with EA Sports UFC 5 being removed. For JRPG enthusiasts, it’s an even harder hit, as multiple Sword Art Online titles will no longer be available. This includes Alicization Lycoris, Fatal Bullet, Hollow Realization, Last Recollection, and Lost Song.
Here’s the complete list of games leaving PS Plus Extra and Premium on August 19:
Bugsnax (PS4, PS5) – $69.99
EA Sports UFC 5 (PS5) – $69.99
Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker (PS4) – $19.99
RIDE 5 (PS5) – $59.99
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor (PS4, PS5) – $69.99
Sword Art Online: Alicization Lycoris (PS4) – $59.99
Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet (PS4) – $39.99
Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization (PS4) – $59.99
Sword Art Online: Last Recollection (PS4, PS5) – $59.99
Sword Art Online: Lost Song (PS4) – $59.99
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt (PS4, PS5) – $39.99
Vacation Simulator (PS4, PS5) – $19.99
Wild Hearts (PS5) – $69.99
For players who want to continue their journey in any of these titles, purchasing them outright will be the only option once they’re gone from the subscription.
Although it’s disappointing to lose access to these fan favorites, the upcoming PS Plus lineup may soften the blow. New additions include heavy hitters like Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered, Mortal Kombat 1, and Unicorn Overlord, which are set to arrive on the same day.
