PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS and PUBG Mobile have officially launched a major collaboration with G-DRAGON, the K-pop icon and BIGBANG frontman. The event began rolling out across platforms in September 2025, bringing themed in-game content, offline events, and exclusive rewards.

Release Details

The crossover arrived in stages: PC on September 10, consoles on September 18, and PUBG Mobile on September 19. According to KRAFTON, the features will remain available until the next major update, expected in late December 2025.

This marks the first-ever joint artist collaboration for both PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS and PUBG Mobile, making it a significant milestone for the franchise.

Gameplay Features and Map Transformations

After installing the update, players can explore PUBG maps reimagined with G-DRAGON’s signature flair. On Miramar, you’ll find:

  • A Truck Stop redesigned as the set from G-DRAGON’s “POWER” music video, complete with an emote stage.

  • Themed gas stations and fan rooms, featuring graffiti and a G-DRAGON turntable that plays his tracks.

  • Collaboration-branded starting planes, decorated care packages, and G-DRAGON–themed Blue Chip Towers.

  • All vehicle music switched to G-DRAGON songs for added immersion.

On starting islands across maps like Erangel, Vikendi, and Taego, players can access Emote Stages. Performing G-DRAGON’s emotes here triggers album artwork on-screen, adding a concert-like touch before matches.

Weapons, Skins, and Store Items

A highlight of the collaboration is the Progressive AUG skin, which evolves through ten levels of upgrades, including new animations, killfeed effects, and rare chroma variations.

In addition, the in-game store now offers:

  • Exclusive outfits inspired by G-DRAGON’s fashion.

  • Collaboration emotes and accessories.

  • Step Up Packs and Vouchers, which unlock items and bonus G-DRAGON vouchers for crate draws.

For collectors, the G-DRAGON Contraband Crates provide limited-time cosmetics and event rewards.

Special Events and Rewards

The collaboration isn’t just cosmetic—it also comes packed with interactive events. Players can participate in missions such as visiting the Miramar Truck Stop or using the G-DRAGON turntable, unlocking vouchers, and themed gear.

KRAFTON has also launched a global lucky draw via the official PUBG event site, where anyone (even non-players) can enter with an email address. Prizes include autographed albums, exclusive PUBG x G-DRAGON apparel, and in-game items.

Offline Fan Experiences

From September 11 to 14, PUBG hosted a Seongsu pop-up event in Seoul, offering hands-on fan activities like shooting games, keyring workshops, and photo booths. The venue also featured props and graffiti art inspired by the collab trailer, giving fans a real-world way to step into the crossover.

Why This Collaboration Matters

This isn’t PUBG’s first dive into the K-pop world—past tie-ins have featured acts like Blackpink, BABYMONSTER, and aespa—but the G-DRAGON crossover is its most ambitious yet. By blending his “POWER” aesthetic with PUBG’s high-stakes gameplay, the partnership appeals to both dedicated players and VIPs (G-DRAGON’s fandom).
