PUBG Mobile 3.8 Update Brings Steampunk World, Titans, and Trains

PUBG Mobile's newest 3.8 update has arrived with a complete makeover, introducing players to an exciting steampunk-themed world filled with mechanical wonders and new gameplay features.

The biggest addition to the game is the Titan mode, where players can transform into powerful Titans by using special serums found throughout the map. Once transformed, players gain strong melee attacks and improved fighting abilities. For those looking for even more power, the rare "Attack Titan Serum" gives players extra strength compared to regular Titan transformations.

To balance the game, players can now find ODM gear in loot crates, battlefield drops, and stores. This equipment allows for quick movements through the air and powerful slashing attacks, making it an effective way to fight against Titans.

Furthermore, steam-powered trains now run across the map, giving players new travel options. These trains help players move between different areas quickly, and some trains even have special driver's cabins filled with valuable items. Players can also find helpful attendants on these trains. In the Etherholm region, squads that survive longer than others can call in a special "epic cargo train" that comes with supply crates that refill at every stop.

The map has been redesigned with several unique locations. There's a clock tower hiding valuable loot, sky rails connecting two city areas, and hot air balloons that players can use to scout areas or move to better positions. Train stations are now busy supply centers where players can get equipment from clockwork vendors. The close spaces inside trains make grenades and other throwable weapons very useful.

Even though Utgard Castle appears in ruins, it still contains good loot and can now be destroyed when Titans fight there. For a lighter experience, the update includes early summer Jubilee zones and an in-game roller coaster where players can take a break from intense battles.

The classic mode also received updates, including a new vehicle called the Pillar UAZ. This tough, heavily-armored vehicle provides reliable transportation, though players cannot shoot while riding in it. In a new feature, motorcycles and bicycles now allow players to shoot one-handed weapons while driving, giving them more combat options while moving.

Several practical items have been added to improve gameplay. Players can now use spare tires to replace burst tires, keeping vehicles running even after taking damage. A new medkit allows players to heal teammates directly, and sticky bombs can be attached to surfaces before exploding, creating new ambush possibilities.

The Metro Royale mode has been updated with a portable military server that players can hack for valuable information. Equipment rules have changed, with level 4 and higher gear now banned in certain areas, forcing players to rethink their strategies. New steam train zones at Misty Port and Arctic Base add variety to gameplay.

In the creative World of Wonder mode, players get new abilities, Titan forms, dinosaur objects, and improved interface features. Other updates make match results clearer, improve matchmaking, and enhance building tools.

Cycle 8 Season 24 begins on May 11 (UTC+0), bringing new rankings and rewards. The update also adds Bronzework Bastion items for home decoration and improves building features in the housing system. A limited-time event gives players a chance to quickly collect these new decorative items.

Royale Pass A13 is available from May 11 to July 11, 2025, featuring steampunk-style items and a new custom color outfit for male characters, with rewards valued at over 80,000 UC.

For Indian gamers, the BGMI 3.8 update is expected to roll out on May 15, 2025, based on leaks and past update patterns. Players can expect the rollout to begin early morning, around 4:00 AM to 7:30 AM IST, with a phased release across devices.
