PUBG Adds Breakable Terrain & Vehicle Camo in Latest Update 35.2

PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS destructable maps

PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS is getting a major upgrade with its new Update 35.2. This update brings exciting features like breakable terrain to the Taego map, new tools for hiding vehicles, and makes gameplay more similar across different maps.

The update is already available on PC and will come to console players on May 22.

Key Features and Changes:

Destructible Terrain on Taego:

  • For the first time ever, players on the Taego map can now change the environment during fights. Explosives like grenades, mortars, C4, and the Panzerfaust can now blast holes in the ground, creating new hiding spots or attack positions.

  • Players can also use a new pickaxe tool to quietly dig and shape the terrain.

  • Some areas have limited destructibility due to rocky terrain.

Vehicle Camo Netting:

  • One cool new item is Vehicle Camouflage Netting, which lets players hide parked vehicles so enemies can't spot them easily.

  • These items are available in Normal Match, Arcade, and Custom Match.

  • It can be equipped/unequipped using the Melee Weapon key and deployed/removed with the Interaction key.

  • Not usable on occupied vehicles.

Vending Machines Expanded:

  • Vending Machines, which were only found on Miramar before, now appear on Erangel and Taego too.

  • These machines give out healing items and can sometimes release a jackpot of supplies.

  • Each building will randomly get either a Boost or Medical Vending Machine.

C4 Rework:

  • C4 is now a deployable item requiring a 4-second setup, categorized as a Special Weapon but still occupies the Throwable slot.

  • Deployment can be canceled, and it’s unusable in vehicles.

  • When multiple players are eliminated by C4, the farthest player ranks higher.

Inflatable Boat Improvements:

  • Maximum speed increased (e.g., 25 km/h with one player rowing, up to 60 km/h with full crew sprint tapping).

  • Inventory weight reduced for better usability.

Flare Gun Enhancements:

  • Improved tooltips, UI indicators, and radio messages for clearer usability.

  • Blue Chip and Flare Gun icons added to the World Map to track Recall flights and special airdrops.

Survivor Pass: Moghoul Rampage:

  • A new Survivor Pass is introduced, with details available in the May Store Update announcement.

Map Rotation:

  • Taego is favored for the first three weeks, with Week 2 probabilities: Taego (36%), fixed/favored maps (18% each), others (9%).

  • Week 4: fixed/favored maps (22% each), others (11%).

  • Ranked map pool: Erangel (25%), Miramar (25%), Taego (20%), Rondo (20%), Deston (10%).

Other Changes:

  • The developers have also added breakable pots to Erangel. Players can smash these to potentially find useful gear inside, just like on other maps; Self-AED and Traditional Hanbok Hat removed from pots.

  • Emergency landing plane removed from Taego.

  • In-Game Challenges and Additional Starting Plane disabled, Bunny Baskets removed.

  • Event Center layout reworked for better item tooltips and details.

  • Performance optimizations: improved character animation rendering, reduced hitching during Sanhok building destruction, and fixed issues like inventory affecting vehicle trunk usage and Ranked match reporting.

The update also makes the game more consistent across all maps. This helps players who don't want to learn different rules for each battlefield. Now, whether you're playing on Erangel, Miramar, or Taego, many features work the same way.
