The Rainbow 6 franchise is ready to kick down the door of a new era with the upcoming launch of Rainbow 6 Siege X, dropping on June 10, 2025. And it’s wasting no time stepping onto the big stage—the game is set to headline a major tournament at the 2025 Esports World Cup (EWC), one of the world’s biggest esports spectacles.
Running from July 8 to August 24, 2025, Esports World Cup boasts a record-breaking $70 million USD prize pool, making it the biggest in esports history. That total is spread across multiple games—including the newly minted Rainbow 6 Siege X.

The arrival of Rainbow 6 Siege X marks a major turning point for Ubisoft’s flagship shooter. It’ll be a free update to the existing Siege platform and is already locked in as an official EWC title through 2026.
Siege X’s EWC tournament will feature 16 elite teams from around the world, making it one of the very first S-tier tournaments for the new title.
According to the EWC organizers, this competition aims to kick off a new era for Rainbow Six esports—and with passionate fans and legacy teams in the mix, expect fireworks from day one.
Prize Pool
The Rainbow 6 Siege X tournament will feature a hefty $2 million USD prize pool. That places it among the top individual game payouts at the EWC.

Regional Qualifiers
Teams must first qualify via regional leagues, with slots allocated as follows:
Europe-MENA League (EML) – 5 teams
North America League (NAL) – 4 teams
South America Leagues (SAL) – 4 teams
APAC North – 1 team
Asia-Pacific (Asia) – 1 team
Asia-Pacific (Oceania) – 1 team
Group Stage (Aug 5–6)
The 16 qualified teams will be split into four groups of four, with the top two from each group advancing to the Finals.
Finals Bracket (Aug 7–9)
The remaining 8 teams enter a single-elimination bracket.
It all comes down to the Grand Final on August 9, where one squad will etch their name into the history books as the first Siege X EWC champions.
