The 2v2 fighter, which pulls its roster from both the MOBA and the hit Netflix series Arcane, will be available to all PC players without the need for invite codes. At this stage, Riot has not mentioned any console release plans.

Early access will launch with Season 0, introducing the game’s 10th champion alongside a progression system that carries forward into the full release.

Riot emphasized that everything unlocked during this period, whether it’s champions, skins, or mastery rewards, will remain tied to your account permanently. That’s a relief for anyone worried about grinding only to lose progress later.

Looking ahead, Riot outlined its 2026 roadmap, which includes five full seasons. Each season will bring a new champion, fresh content drops, and additional rewards to keep the competitive scene active.

So far, the confirmed roster includes Ahri, Blitzcrank, Braum, Darius, Ekko, Illaoi, Jinx, Vi, and Yasuo, with the tenth fighter set to debut at launch.

Executive producer Tom Cannon described the early access launch as “the start of the next chapter for 2XKO.” He also thanked players who participated in the closed beta, noting that their feedback has already helped shape the game. “Early access is just the beginning,” Cannon said, adding that Riot is eager for fans to see what’s next.

Alongside the release date, Riot also revealed First Impact, a new initiative supporting 22 community-led tournaments across the Americas, Europe, and Asia through the end of 2025. According to Riot, these events will remain independently run but will receive Riot-sponsored prize boosts. Winning duos will also earn the Duo Bounty, a $2,500 bonus on top of the existing prize pool, plus an exclusive Local Legend title for their accounts.

The first official First Impact event will be Evo France: 2 NICE KO, organized by The MIXUP Crew, scheduled for October 10–12 in Nice, France.
