Roblox has permanently banned Schlep — a 22-year-old YouTuber known for confronting alleged predators on the platform — and issued a cease-and-desist letter accusing him of violating its Terms of Use and Community Standards.

Schlep, who has over 630,000 subscribers on YouTube, claims his efforts over the past year have helped lead to six arrests, but Roblox insists his methods are "unauthorized and harmful".

The official letter from Roblox accused him of "simulated child endangerment conversations", "sharing or soliciting personally identifiable information", and "encouraging users to move conversations off-platform."

According to the company, these activities bypass safety systems, interfere with investigations, and increase the danger to minors.

In a video responding to the ban, Schlep called the situation "a call for help," describing the legal threat as "a 22-year-old versus a multi-billion-dollar company." He claimed Roblox terminated every account he has ever owned — including ones created when he was eight years old — ones unrelated to his sting operations.

Schlep said he has loved Roblox since childhood, even meeting his current partner through the game, but has grown increasingly critical of the company’s handling of safety. He alleged that Roblox ignored or delayed action on serious reports, including credible threats to the Las Vegas Sphere, despite him notifying both Roblox and the FBI.

He also recounted being groomed on Roblox as a child by a popular developer, claiming that his mother contacted Roblox at the time, but the alleged predator remained active for years. "I’m trying to stop what happened to me from happening to other kids," he said.

Roblox’s cease-and-desist letter argues that Schlep’s off-platform sting operations violate policy and that all harmful activity should be reported through its official moderation systems. The company stated it works closely with organizations such as the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and law enforcement agencies to address threats.

However, Schlep argued that in predator-catching investigations, decoys avoid initiating sexual conversations to prevent entrapment and that most chat logs were collected on Discord, not Roblox itself. He also argued that sharing personal information with law enforcement should not be considered a violation.

Supporters have rallied behind Schlep with hashtags like #BoycottRoblox and #FreeSchlep, accusing the company of silencing a whistleblower instead of addressing the issues he exposed. Schlep, however, insists he will not attempt to return to Roblox unless the company changes its stance.

"I genuinely can’t comprehend how trying to stop predators is seen as a bad thing," he said, urging viewers to share his story with parents, journalists, and even lawmakers.

The dispute has sparked a larger debate over whether independent online safety efforts should be welcomed or banned, and whether platforms like Roblox are doing enough to protect their youngest players.
