S8UL Enters Apex Legends Scene with All-Australian Team for Esports World Cup 2025

S8UL Enters Apex Legends

Indian esports organization S8UL has announced its entry into Apex Legends by signing an all-Australian team to compete in the Esports World Cup (EWC) 2025.

This marks a significant milestone as S8UL becomes one of the first Indian organizations to venture into Apex Legends on the international stage.

The newly formed roster consists of three accomplished players: Rick 'Sharky' Wirth, Benjamin 'Jesko' Spaseski, and Tom 'Legacy' Canty, with Harrison 'Rogers' Rogers serving as the team's coach.

Sharky brings impressive credentials to the team. He won the Apex Legends Global Series (ALGS) Championship in 2022 with DarkZero Esports, securing $500,000 (approximately Rs 4.3 crore) in prize money. Throughout his career, Sharky has earned more than $320,000 (about Rs 2.7 crore) in tournament winnings. He recently competed in the EWC 2024 as part of Team Burger.

Teammates Jesko and Legacy previously played together under Guild Esports, based in London. The duo has participated in major tournaments including the ALGS 2024 Championship and finished in the top 10 at last year's EWC. Together, they have earned over $150,000 (approximately Rs 1.2 crore) in prize money and are known for their strong teamwork and high-impact performances.

"We're incredibly excited to take this next step into Apex Legends with a world-class team," said Animesh Agarwal, also known as 8Bit Thug, Co-founder and CEO of S8UL. "At S8UL, we've always believed in pushing boundaries and representing India on the biggest stages. Sharky, Jesko, Legacy, and coach Rogers bring a level of experience and talent that aligns perfectly with our vision for global esports dominance."

Coach Rogers expressed enthusiasm about joining S8UL, stating, "This isn't just about one event—it's about building something long-term with an organization that shares our vision and ambition. S8UL's legacy in esports speaks for itself, and we're proud to be part of that journey."

This announcement follows S8UL's recent commitment to participate in the Esports World Cup 2025 across several other titles, including EAFC 25, Chess, Call of Duty: Warzone, and Tekken 8. The organization also becomes part of the tournament's Club Partner Program, becoming the first Indian organization to do so.

Esports World Cup 2025 will bring together over 2,000 elite players and 200 top clubs competing for a record-breaking prize pool exceeding $70 million (approximately Rs 602 crore). Of this amount, $27 million is reserved for the EWC Club Championship, which will reward the top 16 clubs based on their overall performance across titles, with $7 million allocated to the 2025 Club Champion.

As S8UL takes this bold step into the arena shooter scene, all eyes will be on how this talented roster performs in the upcoming months leading to the EWC 2025.
