While much of the spotlight has been on Clair Obscur and The Game Awards 2025 in recent days, another event with its own loyal following took place right after. The Horror Game Awards 2025 returned on December 13, just one day after TGA, and after weeks of fan voting, the winners were finally revealed.

Konami and NeoBards Entertainment’s survival horror title Silent Hill f dominated the ceremony, walking away with four major wins, including the coveted Game of the Year.
The game was nominated in six categories and secured victories in four: Game of the Year, Best Narrative, Technical Achievement, and Best Performance for Konatsu Kato.
The competition was intense, with titles like Doom: The Dark Ages, Dying Light: The Beast, MiSide, South of Midnight, Cronos the New Dawn, and R.E.P.O. also vying for recognition. Yet, both jury and public votes leaned strongly toward NeoBards’ chilling vision.
The Horror Game Awards operate with a mix of jury and public input. In fourteen categories, the top three public-voted titles are reviewed by the jury to select winners. However, the Players’ Choice and Horror Content Creator of the Year awards are entirely decided by fans.
Following the ceremony, NeoBards Entertainment expressed gratitude on X, thanking fans for their support: “Thanks to the incredible support of horror fans worldwide, SILENT HILL f has swept The Horror Game Awards 2025 with FOUR major wins, including Game of the Year.” Lead scriptwriter Ryukishi07 also shared his appreciation, saying the award was “thanks to all of you.”
Alongside Silent Hill f, several other titles stood out in winners, including MoonHood’s The Midnight Walk, Frankie Smile Show’s Look Outside, semiwork’s R.E.P.O., and Trioskaz’s No, I’m not a Human.
Capcom's Resident Evil Requiem won the Most Anticipated Horror Game award. Just a day earlier at TGA, a new trailer was released, revealing that Leon will be a playable character.
