Steam Winter Sale 2025 Promises Steep Discounts on Latest and Classic Titles

Steam’s annual Winter Sale is back, kicking off December 18 and running through January 5, 2026, with discounts on some of the year’s biggest titles.
The sale begins at 1 p.m. EST / 10 a.m. PST / 12 p.m. CST, and as usual, PC gamers can expect an email reminder highlighting which games on their wishlist are dropping in price.
Steam’s Winter Sale has become a tradition for players looking to grab both new releases and older classics at steep discounts, and this year’s lineup looks particularly strong.

While exact pricing hasn’t been revealed yet, past sales suggest discounts will be significant.
It’s not just Steam offering bargains this holiday season. The Epic Games Store is running its own holiday sale, with discounts on titles like Battlefield 6 and Cyberpunk 2077. Meanwhile, GOG has launched a massive winter sale featuring more than 8,000 games, including Hollow Knight: Silksong and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
