Stellar Blade has now sold over 3 million copies worldwide, combining both PlayStation 5 and its freshly released PC version.
The update comes via South Korean outlet Ruliweb (spotted by Genki), which confirmed that the game has already sold 1 million copies on PC.
Originally launched as a PS5 exclusive back in April 2024, Stellar Blade made a strong impression early on with its flashy combat, top-tier visuals, and fast-paced action. Shift Up had announced that it hit 1 million sales just two months after launch—but after that, we didn’t hear much on the sales front. That changed with the global PC release on June 12, 2025, which brought the spotlight back in a big way. It racked up a million copies sold on Steam in just three days, meaning it moved 2 million on PS5 since launch.
The PC version’s momentum has been wild—it shot straight to No. 1 on Steam’s global top sellers chart on day one, reached a peak of 192,078 concurrent players by Sunday, and earned a glowing 94% “Overwhelmingly Positive” rating from over 21,000 user reviews.
And it’s not just player love—the game’s also been a moneymaker. According to Shift Up’s financial reports, they received $19 million in royalties from Sony just in Q1. Later on, their annual report revealed that total royalties from Stellar Blade had topped $43.2 million, cementing its place as one of the most successful Korean single-player titles to date.
All that success led to a blockbuster IPO in June 2025, marking the biggest stock listing for a gaming company in South Korea in almost three years. It was also the second-largest public offering in the country this year. As a result, CEO Kim Hyung-tae earned a spot among Korea’s 50 richest individuals, according to Forbes.
Earlier this year, Shift Up reportedly handed out bonuses to all 300+ employees and even gifted PS5 Pro consoles—not a bad way to celebrate!
The PC version of Stellar Blade isn’t just a basic port, either. It supports DLSS 4, FSR 3, ultra-wide screens, uncapped frame rates, and high-res textures, and fans have praised its top-notch optimization. Whether you’re on high-end gear or a more modest setup, the game holds up with fluid combat and gorgeous visuals—easily one of the smoothest PC launches of the year.
With this level of momentum and a growing fanbase across platforms, Stellar Blade clearly isn’t slowing down. It’s a major win for Shift Up and a strong signal that premium single-player games from Korea are making serious waves on the global stage.
