The highly anticipated Stellar Blade PC release may still be days away, but modders are already in full swing, pushing out a wide range of mods — from stylish new outfits to performance optimizations — ahead of the game’s official launch on June 11, 2025.
Developer Shift Up launched the PC demo on May 31, giving players a taste of the fast-paced, hack-and-slash action. Praised for its optimization, enhanced visuals, and even Steam Deck support, the demo has opened the floodgates for modders — and they haven’t wasted any time.
Stellar Blade Mods Already Available
Despite the game not being officially released, mods are already popping up online via Nexus Mods, offering both cosmetic changes and technical enhancements. Some standout mods include:
Racing Outfit Mod – Eve dons a slick blue-and-white racing suit complete with a checkered flag design.
Casual Wear Mod – A casual red jacket with a dragon motif paired with clean white trousers for a relaxed look.
Yakuza – Goromi Mod – A hilarious crossover that replaces Eve with the ever-iconic Goro Majima from the Yakuza series, dressed in a hot pink dress and ready for alien-slaying mayhem.
Beyond cosmetic changes, modders have also focused on quality-of-life improvements:
Stellar Optimizer Mod – Reduces shader stuttering and improves performance, especially on mid-range and lower-end PCs.
Film Grain Removal – Offers a cleaner and more vibrant visual experience by disabling the game’s grainy filter.
Rumors of Multiplayer and Co-op Spark Buzz
In a surprising twist, the modding community has also uncovered evidence of multiplayer code embedded within Stellar Blade’s demo files.
A viral video posted by modder @PhantomSomnus shows a split-screen mode activated with two instances of Eve on-screen — fueling speculation that the game was at one point designed with local co-op in mind.
The code pointed to leftover PVP menus and asset files labeled with terms like “MultiPlay.”

However, PhantomSomnus has later clarified that this feature was not created by Shift Up but was instead enabled using Unreal Engine's built-in split-screen functionality.
The modder also said that "there is signs of multiplayer" components, but they're online only.
For now, curious players can explore the growing mod library on Nexus Mods and enjoy Stellar Blade’s PC demo ahead of its June 11 release.
