Storage Hunter Simulator Hits 250,000 Sales in Early Access

Storage Hunter Simulator has officially passed a big milestone — 250,000 copies sold since launching in Early Access. The announcement came on May 20 from the game’s Warsaw-based developer, Raccoons Studio, and co-publisher BeardedBrothers.Games.

For those unfamiliar, the game lets you live out your dream of becoming an auction hunter, bidding on mysterious storage units packed with hidden (or totally useless) treasures. You’ll go head-to-head with AI opponents to win garages, consult experts to appraise your finds, and eventually develop the skills to do it all on your own.

The game boasts thousands of unique items, giving players plenty to uncover. Like other simulation games, the goal is to build your own auction empire — complete with an upgradable pawnshop, employees, and tools. But you’ll need to manage your cash wisely and take smart risks. Not every locked container is going to be a goldmine.

Launched in Early Access on October 10, 2024, Storage Hunter Simulator hit 100,000 sales by the end of that year, and has now picked up another 150,000 in the months since.

Developers say the game is still going strong on Steam, holding onto a "very positive" rating and getting regular updates. The latest patch brought in some fun new additions like a lockpicking tool, interactive map icons, outdoor decorations, more NPCs, and even improved tutorials to help new players get started.

“We’d like to say a big thank you to our community for helping us reach this amazing milestone,” said Łukasz Skrzypkowski, CEO of Raccoons Studio. “We’ll keep listening to your feedback as we build toward full release.”

The game’s also made waves in the streaming world. In a cool nod to content creators, the dev team added special in-game masks featuring popular streamers like Yumi, Bigpuffer, Skootie, and Raptor — a nice shoutout to those who helped bring the game into the spotlight.

Storage Hunter Simulator is still in Early Access, and while there’s no set date for its full release, the devs are promising more updates, improvements, and surprises based on what the community wants.
