Stray Rumored as PS Plus Essential Headliner for November 2025

According to a new report, Stray could be the main title for PlayStation Plus Essential’s free monthly lineup in November 2025.

Stray may join PS Plus Essential on Nov 4, 2025. Reported release time, platforms, and what to expect from Sony’s November lineup.
PS Plus Essential November 2025 lineup leak points to Stray.

While Sony hasn’t officially confirmed the news yet, the leak comes from Dealabs, a source with a strong track record of accurately revealing PS Plus games ahead of time.

With October almost over, many of us are already looking ahead to what’s next for subscribers. Last month was packed with heavy hitters like Alan Wake 2, Silent Hill 2, and Until Dawn, so expectations are high. If the leak is accurate, November will kick off with one of the most beloved indie titles of recent years.

The report suggests that Stray will be available to download starting November 4, 2025, at 1 a.m. PST/ 4 p.m. EST/ 10 a.m. French time. It would be offered across all tiers: Essential, Extra, and Premium on both PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4. Interestingly, Stray was previously part of the PS Plus Extra catalog before being removed just ahead of its Xbox release, so this would mark its return to the service for almost everybody.

For those who missed it, Stray is a third-person adventure developed by BlueTwelve Studio and published by Annapurna Interactive. You play as a stray cat navigating a mysterious cyberpunk city, solving puzzles, sneaking through alleys, and interacting with quirky robot inhabitants. The game won the Best Independent Game award in 2022, and its mix of atmosphere, exploration, and charm made it a standout.

As of now, the other two PS Plus Essential titles for November remain unknown. Sony is expected to make the official announcement on October 29, 2025, so we’ll know soon whether this leak holds true. Until then, players can still grab October’s Essential offerings — Alan Wake 2, Cocoon, and Goat Simulator 3 — before they rotate out on November 4.
