Fortnite’s big DC collaboration has officially arrived, and it brings none other than the Man of Steel himself into the game starting today, July 11, 2025. The update aligns with the release of James Gunn’s Superman film, and Epic Games isn’t holding back in making this crossover one of the most exciting ones yet.
The main highlight of the update is the new Superman skin, styled after David Corenswet’s portrayal of the superhero in the just-released movie.
The skin is part of Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 3’s Battle Pass and is expected to be available as a bonus unlock. In addition to Superman himself, players will also gain access to 12 themed cosmetics, such as outfits and accessories. These can be unlocked by completing quests or simply leveling up.
Leakers HYPEX and ShiinaBR, both well-known and generally reliable sources in the Fortnite community, have also shared details about the Superman Transform Mythic item. This powerful in-game item spawns in every match and grants Superman’s signature abilities to the first player who grabs it. These include:
Flight – letting players fly across the map
Super Strength – boosting melee power
Heat Vision – melting builds and dealing damage
Energy Burst – knocking back enemies
Cold Breath – rumored as an additional ability
Additionally, Mister Terrific and The Engineer (complete with LEGO variants) dropped into the Item Shop Yesterday, July 10. Players can pick up Mister Terrific’s outfit for 1,500 V-Bucks, or opt for the full bundle at 2,000 V-Bucks, which includes the T-Axe pickaxe, T-Spheres back bling, and more. The Engineer outfit is also priced at 1,500 V-Bucks.
Prices include:
Mister Terrific Bundle – 2,000 V-Bucks
T-Axe Pickaxe – 800 V-Bucks
Terrific’s Traverse Emote – 400 V-Bucks
T-Spheres Backbling – 300 V-Bucks
The Engineer Outfit – 1,500 V-Bucks
Super Ovation Emote – 400 V-Bucks

Looking ahead, Epic is also preparing to roll out a new Point of Interest (POI) called the Fortress of Solitude, which will take the place of Masked Meadows starting July 15.

A downtime update is scheduled for the same day and could introduce the long-rumored Krypto Companion cosmetic—Superman’s loyal dog. While Epic hasn’t confirmed Krypto yet, HYPEX hints that this could be the start of a new “companion” feature type, complete with potential gameplay mechanics like follow, tag, or search.

The Superman crossover is part of the broader “Superhero Academy” theme of Chapter 6 Season 3, which has already added several new superhero-inspired POIs like Utopia City and cosmetics for fan-favorite characters like Robin.
With several weeks still left in the season and more updates likely ahead, Superman’s arrival marks just one chapter in what’s shaping up to be a superhero-packed summer in Fortnite.
