Team Liquid has won the PGL Wallachia Season 4 championship, defeating PARIVISION in an exciting five-game grand final on Monday, April 28, in Bucharest.
The victory marks Team Liquid's second straight PGL Wallachia title, following their win in Season 3 back in March.
The reigning International (TI) champions claimed the top prize of $300,000 from the tournament's $1 million prize pool.
PARIVISION, who put up a strong fight in the final match, took home $175,000 as the runner-up.
Both teams showed incredible skill throughout the tournament. PARIVISION dominated the Swiss-format Group Stage without dropping a single game against AVULUS, Edge, and Team Falcons. Team Liquid had a slightly tougher path, advancing after four rounds with wins against Nigma Galaxy, Xtreme Gaming, and Team Tidebound, but suffering a loss to Team Falcons in the second round.
In the playoffs, Team Liquid defeated Tundra Esports in the upper bracket quarterfinals before sweeping Team Spirit in the semifinals. Meanwhile, PARIVISION swept Team Tidebound and won against Aurora Gaming after Aurora forfeited the deciding game due to a bug.
The two finalists first met in the upper bracket finals, where PARIVISION won in three games to advance directly to the grand finals. Team Liquid bounced back by sweeping Tundra Esports in the lower bracket finals, earning another shot at PARIVISION in the championship match.
The best-of-five grand finale was a nail-biter that went the full distance. Team Liquid started strong by winning the first two games, looking like they might sweep the series. In game one, Micke "miCKe" Vu's Nature's Prophet led the way with 13 kills and 14 assists, helping Team Liquid overcome an early deficit to win after 37 minutes. Game two followed a similar pattern, with miCKe on Gyrocopter posting 10 kills and 15 assists as Liquid took a 2-0 lead.
With their backs against the wall, PARIVISION fought back impressively. Alan "Satanic" Gallyamov's perfect 16-kill performance on Templar Assassin in game three sparked their comeback. They followed it up with a dominant game four win, where Satanic on Nature's Prophet and Volodymyr "No[o]ne" Minenko on Storm Spirit each scored 10 kills, forcing a decisive fifth game.
The final game was an epic 72-minute battle that could have gone either way. As the two teams traded leads back and forth, Michał "Nisha" Jankowski's Timbersaw emerged as the difference-maker for Team Liquid. Nisha finished with an impressive 22 kills and 14 assists while dying only twice, helping secure the championship for his team.

It also ranked third in watch time among the four editions held to date, with a total of 13.77 million Hours Watched (HW).

Team Liquid, an established esports organization from the Netherlands, has continued to build on its impressive Dota 2 history, having won The International in both 2017 and 2024.
PARIVISION, though falling short in the final, has established themselves as a formidable team in the Dota 2 scene since their formation in October 2024. This tournament marked their fourth top-three finish in a Tier 1 tournament this year, including their victory at ESL One Raleigh 2025 earlier in April.
