Team Vitality has secured the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Women’s Invitational (MWI) 2025 championship with a dominant 4-0 win over Gaimin Gladiators in the Grand Finals at the Esports World Cup (EWC) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The Indonesian squad, backed by the French esports giant Vitality, delivered a statement performance—they didn’t drop a single game throughout the tournament.
Finalist Journey: From Group Stage to Glory
Coming in as one of the top favorites, Team Vitality definitely lived up to the hype. In the group stage, they made quick work of Twisted Minds Orchid and Falcons Vega, cruising through without dropping a map and topping Group A.
Their momentum carried over to the playoffs, where they swept FUT Esports 2-0 in the quarterfinals and Team Liquid 3-0 in the semis—both teams seen as serious contenders.
Gaimin Gladiators, meanwhile, had a very different path. After getting knocked down in their first group stage match by NAVI MY, they fought their way back through a tough lower bracket run to make it to the playoffs. There, they pulled off a shocking 2-0 upset over NAVI PH, the reigning champs who had previously competed as Smart Omega Empress. Gaimin then edged out Myanmar’s Terror Queens 3-1 in a nail-biting semifinal, becoming the first North American team to ever reach the MWI Grand Finals.
But despite their incredible run, Gaimin couldn’t keep up with Vitality’s high-level coordination, map pressure, and sharp execution. The Grand Finals wrapped up in a clean 4-0 sweep, and Team Vitality raised the trophy without dropping a single game all tournament long.
Star Power and Redemption
Vitality’s Mid Laner Cindy "Cinny" Siswanto took home the MVP title, thanks to her clutch performances—especially in the finals. Her impact throughout the tournament was undeniable, and she walked away with a $10,000 bonus for her efforts.
Cinny shared the spotlight with her sister Michelle "Chell" Siswanto (Gold Lane), along with Venny "Fumi Eko" Lim, Vivi "Vivian" Indrawaty, and Sherly "BOBABAE" Sindra. Most of this core lineup previously played under Bigetron Era, winning MWI titles in 2022 and 2023. This latest win marks their third championship title and a sweet redemption story after losing last year to Smart Omega Empress.
Record-Breaking Viewership
MWI 2025 didn’t just break expectations—it shattered records. According to Esports Charts, this year’s event reached new heights for women’s esports:

That makes MWI 2025 the most-watched women’s esports tournament of the year and among the top five of all time.
