Tencent has officially unveiled its early esports roadmap for VALORANT Mobile, confirming that China will be the first region to host a structured competitive circuit for the mobile version of Riot’s popular shooter.

The announcement was made during the Season 4 Finals of China’s National Competition for VALORANT PC. Operated by TJ Sports—a joint venture between Tencent and Riot Games—the event served as the platform to reveal the initial steps toward building a dedicated mobile esports scene in the country (Thanks Esports Insider).

Kicking things off is the “Show Cup”, a national tournament set to run until September. Following that, TJ Sports will roll out the China National Circuit for VALORANT Mobile in Q4 2025. This circuit will mirror the existing tournament format used globally for VALORANT’s PC counterpart, offering a familiar structure for players and fans alike.

However, there’s no word yet on whether a full-fledged professional league—similar to the VALORANT Champions Tour (VCT)—will be established for the mobile scene. Still, the introduction of a national tournament framework suggests that Tencent is taking long-term esports development seriously.

To further support grassroots growth, VALORANT Mobile will include an in-game tournament center, where players and teams can register and compete in ongoing events.

China has already been ahead of the curve in VALORANT Mobile’s rollout. A closed beta test took place in June, giving select players an early hands-on experience with the game. While Riot Games has yet to lock in an official release date, the full Chinese launch is expected sometime in 2025.

As for global availability, Riot has remained tight-lipped, offering no confirmation on when VALORANT Mobile might launch outside of China.
