The upcoming Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 Remake isn’t just a visual facelift—it’s a full overhaul built for modern platforms, blending old-school charm with modern features. Developed by Iron Galaxy Studios, this remake brings together the best parts of THPS 3 and THPS 4, reimagined using Unreal Engine and packed with fresh content.
Let’s take a look at all the major features that set this remake apart.
Remastered Levels
All of the original maps from THPS 3 and THPS 4 make a comeback, completely rebuilt in 4K resolution on supported platforms. You’ll revisit iconic parks like:
Foundry
College
Rio
Tokyo
Canada
San Francisco
Airport
Los Angeles
On top of that, several new skateparks have been added to the mix:
Waterpark – A dried-out desert park filled with vert-friendly grind rails and lazy rivers
Pinball – A neon-flashing, arcade-inspired arena
Movie Studio – A set-themed map with dynamic props
Each level supports both solo play and online multiplayer, and the design maintains the franchise's signature flow and creativity.
Gameplay Upgrades and Modernization
The game retains its signature arcade-style feel but is tuned for today’s standards. Key changes include:
Career Mode: Combines tours from both games under a unified two-minute challenge structure, instead of the open-ended missions from THPS 4.
New Game+: After completing Career Mode, you can replay levels with carried-over stats and harder trick goals.
Tutorial Mode: Voiced by Tony Hawk himself, guiding players through moves like ollies, reverts, manuals, and combos.
Online Multiplayer: Cross-platform support for up to 8 players across Free Skate, Competitive, and the all-new HAWK mode.
Offline Support: No internet required for single-player gameplay.
Create-A-Park and Create-A-Skater — Upgraded and Sharable
Customization has been overhauled with smarter tools and more options:
Create-A-Park: New “Smart Pieces” allow easier editing and snapping. Parks can now be built around themes like San Francisco or Waterpark.
Cross-Platform Sharing: Share your creations across PlayStation, Xbox, PC, and Switch.
Create-A-Skater: Includes fresh gear, apparel, and board styles. Deluxe and Collector’s Editions offer exclusive customization items.

The remake features an expanded roster that includes legends and new-gen pros:

Each character comes with distinct styles and trick animations, and special characters even feature unique abilities.
Soundtrack
The soundtrack has always been a huge part of the THPS experience, and this remake doesn’t disappoint. Expect iconic tracks from:
Motörhead
Gang Starr
KRS-One
In addition to returning songs, there are new licensed tracks that reflect today’s skate culture. Deluxe edition owners will also get bonus songs, including a full-band version of DOOM’s E1M1 theme.
With classic gameplay polished for a new generation, cross-platform features, and a legendary soundtrack, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 Remake is shaping up to be much more than a nostalgia trip. Whether you're chasing combos, designing parks, or skating as a Doom Slayer in a lazy river, there’s a lot to look forward to when the game hits consoles and PC this July.
