Riot Games is officially kicking off the closed beta for Valorant Mobile in China sometime in June 2025.
The announcement came straight from a recent developer update, where Andy Ho, Valorant’s Executive Producer, confirmed the upcoming beta.
While we don’t have a specific date yet, Ho said the launch is just weeks away—so players won’t have to wait too long.
Chinese Players Can Pre-Register Now
If you're in China, good news—pre-registration is already open. Players who sign up early can join the beta and earn some cool, exclusive in-game rewards.
There are up to four special player cards available during the testing phase, each tied to completing in-game missions. One standout reward? A rare Wingman-themed player card.
What You’ll Need to Play
According to reliable dataminer @ValorantMobileX, there are a few system requirements to note:
Android: Devices with Snapdragon 450, MediaTek P60, or Kirin 710 processors (or better). Android 5.0+, 3GB+ RAM, and at least 16GB of storage.
iOS: iPhone 6s or newer, running iOS 12 or above, and the same 16GB of free space.
Basically, as long as you have a reasonably recent phone, you should be good to go.
Built in Partnership with Mobile Pros
Riot isn’t going it alone on this one—they’ve teamed up with Lightspeed Studios, a Tencent-owned developer best known for helping build hits like PUBG Mobile and Apex Legends Mobile. It’s a smart move, given Lightspeed’s expertise in optimizing competitive shooters for phones.
What About the Global Launch?
While we know the Chinese closed beta is dropping in June, Riot hasn’t said how long it’ll run—or when other regions can get in on the action. There’s still no word on a global release date, but fans everywhere are keeping a close eye on updates.
Launching in China first isn’t just about testing—it’s a smart business move. The mobile gaming market there is massive, and a successful rollout could set the tone for how Riot approaches expansion elsewhere.
