There was no new Smash Bros., no Mario and no Luigi's Mansion reveal this time around, but the sheer volume of announcements more than made up for it. Here is everything that was announced, broken down title by title.

007 First Light

007 First Light has been a genuine hit for developer IO Interactive, selling 4 million copies worldwide across PS5, Xbox Series X and S, and PC. Now the spy thriller is heading to a new platform. Nintendo confirmed the game is coming to Switch 2, giving Switch owners a chance to jump into the world of a young James Bond without needing another console.

Far Cry 3 Classic Edition and Blood Dragon Classic Edition

Ubisoft brought two Far Cry games to the stage at once. Far Cry 3 Classic Edition and Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon Classic Edition are both headed to Switch 2 in spring 2027. Far Cry 3 needs little introduction. It puts players in the shoes of Jason Brody, a tourist stranded on a lawless island and forced to survive against Vaas and his pirates. Expect the usual mix of outpost liberation, crafting, and stealth that made the original such a landmark open world shooter.

Blood Dragon, meanwhile, is the neon soaked spinoff inspired by 1980s sci-fi. Players take control of cyber commando Rex Power Colt, fighting cyborg soldiers and the titular Blood Dragons in a self contained, over the top adventure that leans hard into VHS era action fantasy.

The Crew Motorfest

Racing fans got some good news too. The Crew Motorfest arrives on Switch 2 starting October 8, both physically and digitally through the eShop.

The Apothecary Diaries: The False Imperial Brother

Koei Tecmo confirms The Apothecary Diaries: The False Imperial Brother for Switch 2 and Switch, targeting an early 2027 release. Players step into the shoes of Maomao once again, this time investigating the Five Mysteries and Five Curses plaguing the rear palace and the capital. A masked man calling himself the imperial younger brother becomes central to the mystery, and familiar faces like Jinshi return alongside newcomers such as Guanyu. The gameplay loop revolves around exploration, evidence gathering, and a deduction phase where players present proof rather than just guesses. According to Koei Tecmo, more details will be shared during a livestream at Tokyo Game Show 2026 on September 20, featuring voice actors Aoi Yuki, Takeo Otsuka, and Yohei Azakami.

House Flipper 2

House Flipper 2 is getting a Switch 2 version courtesy of Silver Lining and Frozen District, arriving October 15. The physical edition ships as a game key card and includes the Sakura DLC out of the box. Nintendo owners will also get day-one access to future updates alongside every other platform. The sequel leans into a Japandi aesthetic with over 600 Japan-themed items, plus a new Sandbox Mode for total creative freedom and a revamped Story Mode set in the town of Pinnacove. Mod support is also included right at launch.

Sonic Pico Park

Sonic Pico Park is coming to both Switch 2 and Switch on November 12, SEGA confirmed. This crossover blends Sonic with the cooperative puzzle formula of the Pico Park series. Up to eight players can team up locally or online to reach each stage's goal plate, with every character able to use Sonic's Spin Dash alongside classic elements like rings, loops, and springs. Cross-play is supported too, and up to seven local players can join an online session from a single PC.

Dragon Quest Monsters: The Withered World

Dragon Quest Monsters: The Withered World is set for a December 3 release on Switch and Switch 2. A free demo covering the first chapter is already live on both platforms. Players can scout, train, and synthesize monsters, and up to eight recruited during the demo can carry over to the full game. As with past entries, the signature synthesis system lets you combine creatures to build new allies with deeper strategic options.

Torneko's Mystery Dungeon

Square Enix's Dragon Quest Heroes: Torneko's Mystery Dungeon Classic HD shadowdropped on Switch and Switch 2. This marks the first time the 1993 spinoff has been released outside Japan. The remaster brings HD visuals, a new opening video, and quality-of-life improvements while keeping the roguelike foundations that made it influential in the first place.

Hela: Of Mice and Magic

Knights Peak and Windup Games revealed a release date for Hela: Of Mice and Magic. The game launches December 1 on Switch 2, Xbox Series X, and PS5, with a digital-only version on Xbox Series S and PC. Players take on the role of a small mouse helping a witch protect the land she has watched over for generations.

Eriksholm: The Stolen Dream

Eriksholm: The Stolen Dream is heading to Switch 2 on December 3. The stealth adventure supports touchscreen and Joy-Con 2 mouse controls on the platform. The story follows siblings Hanna and Herman, whose lives get pulled into revolution and resistance after Herman's disappearance. Players will experience the tale through three different characters, each with their own abilities and motivations.

Stellar Blade Complete Edition

SHIFT UP confirmed Stellar Blade Complete Edition will launch simultaneously worldwide on November 6 for Switch 2. Alongside the release date, the studio revealed a collaboration with Bayonetta. EVE will get four new couture outfits inspired by the character, all free on Switch 2, PS5, and PC starting the same day. Three of the four outfits were shown in the new trailer, with the fourth still under wraps.

Pre-orders are already open on the eShop. Early buyers get an unlock of the Planet Diving Suit in white, Classic Round Glasses, and Ear Armor Earrings, plus a Limited Edition SteelBook in limited quantities. The Complete Edition bundles in all previously released content, including the NieR: Automata and Goddess of Victory: Nikke crossovers, along with new bonus outfits and in game currency. Notably, the physical version ships with the full game on the cartridge, so there is no game key card and no mandatory download.

The Ascent: Ultimate Edition

The Ascent: Ultimate Edition is coming to Switch 2 on December 3. Set in the densely populated cyberpunk world of Veles, this action RPG shooter supports up to four player co-op and has drawn in more than 12 million players since its 2021 debut. The Switch 2 release will be priced at 29.99 dollars and bundles the base game with all three DLC packs. Pre-orders open October 6 with a 10 percent discount running through launch. Ahead of the Switch 2 debut, developer Neon Giant is also rolling out a legacy patch for existing platforms on November 19 with localization fixes.

It Takes Two

It Takes Two is bringing Cody and May to Switch 2 on October 15. The co-op platformer, which won Game of the Year at The Game Awards 2021, returns with higher resolution and improved frame rates thanks to Turn Me Up Studios working alongside original developer Hazelight. The story follows a divorcing couple magically turned into dolls by their daughter, forcing them to work through their broken relationship across a series of inventive gameplay challenges.

Palia

Palia is getting a free Switch 2 Edition upgrade, arriving in December. As a free-to-play fantasy life sim, the update brings enhanced performance, richer visuals, and Joy-Con 2 mouse controls. The headline addition is Echo Expeditions, a new dungeon-crawling mode that players can tackle solo or with friends. Production director Maxwell Zierath said the feature has been part of Palia's vision since early in development, adding that the team wanted to create an approachable experience with room to progress and make memories together. Echo Expeditions is largely optional, so it will not replace the crafting, ranching, and relationship-building systems that already define the game.

Bluey's Happy Snaps

Bluey's Happy Snaps, developed by Gameloft, launches on PC and consoles on October 15. The game follows Bluey and her sister Bingo as they find an old instant camera and set out to fill a scrapbook with photos. Players visit a family campsite, where the goal is to capture pictures of hidden toys and animals scattered throughout the woods. A second player can drop in as Bingo at any time, and a Photo Clues menu offers hints if you get stuck. Special targets unlock coloring pages that can be personalized with stickers and paint patterns. The show's voice cast returns to make the whole experience feel like another episode.

Hot Wheels Infinite Rush

Milestone, the studio behind Hot Wheels Unleashed, announced Hot Wheels Infinite Rush for Switch 2 on September 10. The game features four islands to explore, each ruled by a boss called a Rush Master. Beating all four crowns you the true Rush Master. Players can choose from four vehicle types, Versatiles, Titans, Drifters, and Speeders, and collect more than 150 cars across events and challenges. A new Track Builder lets you design courses using the world around you, and the game supports single player, four player split screen, and online multiplayer with cross play, though Switch 2 is excluded from that last part.

Fading Echo

Fading Echo launches in full on September 17, and a free demo is already available. This elemental action RPG casts players as One, a young Legend fighting to save a dying desert world from Paradox corruption. The core hook is transforming into a sphere of water to surf through pipes, slip through cracks, and unleash powerful blasts. Mixing water with lava or toxic waste triggers chain reactions, and the world itself shifts between fractured realities where hazards and rules change on the fly. A small crew of allies supports One throughout the journey, all voiced by a dedicated cast.

Hell is Us

Hell is Us is a third-person action-adventure with a semi-open world, arriving on Switch 2 October 8. Players control Rémi, a UN peacekeeper who goes absent without leave to search for his missing parents in a country torn by civil war and a mysterious calamity. There are no map markers or quest compasses here. Instead, the game leans on instinct and exploration, backed by melee weapons like swords, spears, and axes plus a drone to help track down supernatural threats.

Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy: Encore Edition

Nintendo revealed Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy: Encore Edition exclusively for Switch 2, launching November 5. Pre-orders are live now, and the edition includes new glam rock-themed outfits. Players take the role of Star-Lord, leading the unpredictable Guardians through a fresh but faithful retelling packed with 80s music and cosmic chaos.

Cairn

Cairn is climbing onto Switch 2 in early 2027, with a free demo available now. The mountain climbing survival game asks players to manage all four limbs while scaling steep terrain, resting at checkpoints, and foraging for supplies along the way. Running out of food or water has real consequences for your stamina, so planning ahead matters.

Danganronpa 2x2

Danganronpa 2x2 is heading to Switch, Switch 2, PC, Xbox Series X and S, and PS5 on January 14, 2027, according to publisher Spike Chunsoft and developer Gemdrops. This entry builds an entirely new storyline on top of the foundation set by Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair, introducing new victims, new culprits, and new tricks while keeping the same volume of content as the original. The package also includes the original Goodbye Despair scenario, refreshed with updated visuals. The structure remains familiar, cycling through Daily Life segments, investigations, and Class Trials where players debate evidence to expose the true culprit.

Disney Dreamlight Valley: The Keepsake Sea

Disney Dreamlight Valley is getting its next expansion, The Keepsake Sea, in November on Switch 2 and Switch. The big new feature is underwater exploration. Players can become a fully customizable mermaid through a deal with Ursula, tweaking fin patterns, colors, and accessories. That transformation opens the door to underwater building, letting players construct structures beneath the surface for the first time. A new explorable area introduces characters including Meg from Hercules, Milo from Atlantis: The Lost Empire, and Captain Jack Sparrow from Pirates of the Caribbean, each with their own quest lines.

Eternal Anima

Marvelous unveiled a brand new IP called Eternal Anima, set to release March 4, 2027 on Switch 2. The project comes from a team of RPG veterans, including director Katsuhisa Higuchi and scenario writer Kazushige Nojima. The story follows Wade, who ends up on the run after questioning the laws of his kingdom, eventually traveling through time to save past civilizations and uncover hidden truths. Combat blends classic turn based mechanics with a Future Sight ability that lets players predict enemy actions and rewrite the flow of battle. The game draws heavily on the feel of late 90s and early 2000s JRPGs while wrapping it all in modern visuals.

Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves

SNK confirmed a Switch 2 version of Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, launching October 22 alongside a crossover with Tokyo Revengers. DLC characters Manjiro Sano and Ken Ryuguji join the roster, bringing character authentic moves and special intros true to the anime. The original Japanese cast, Yu Hayashi and Katsuya Fukunishi, reprise their roles for the collaboration. Tokyo Revengers itself is entering a new arc, War of the Three Titans, premiering October 2 and streaming worldwide on Disney Plus.

Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core Reunion

Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion arrived on Switch 2 today, supporting higher frame rates and resolution than before. The remaster follows Zack Fair, a SOLDIER operative investigating a wave of disappearances within Shinra's ranks. Fully voiced dialogue, remastered visuals, and a newly arranged soundtrack from original composer Takeharu Ishimoto all make the jump alongside the story's emotional core.

Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave

Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave, the eighteenth entry in the Fire Emblem series, launches September 17 on Switch 2. Developed by Intelligent Systems, the game takes place in the Dagdan Empire, a continent in the same world as Fire Emblem: Three Houses but set in a different era. The story centers on the Heroic Games, a grand gladiatorial tournament hosted by the Divine Sovereign, where winners are granted their deepest wishes. Players can choose from four main protagonists, Cai, Theodora, Leda, and Dietrich, each with distinct motivations and combat styles. Fortune’s Weave sticks to the series’ signature turn-based tactical combat, with grid-based movement and weapon-dependent attack ranges.

Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity Definitive Edition

Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity Definitive Edition is set for February 25, 2027 on Switch 2. This is not a simple Switch 2 Edition upgrade, though. Owners of the original can get a 50 percent discount on the new full-priced release, bringing it down to 24.99 pounds in the UK, which is still pricier than most upgrade packs Nintendo has offered before. The definitive version bumps resolution, adds 60fps support, increases enemy counts on screen, and includes all Expansion Pass content plus a new Calamity difficulty. Save data carries forward, and GameShare support remains intact for two-player sessions.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance II Royal Edition

Warhorse Studios confirmed Kingdom Come: Deliverance II Royal Edition is coming to Switch 2 sometime next year, though an exact date was not shared. The Royal Edition bundles the base game with all previously released DLC and additional post-launch bonus content.

Kirby and the World Beyond

Kirby fans got a big surprise with the reveal of Kirby and the World Beyond, arriving spring 2027 on Switch 2. The trailer showed Kirby running through vibrant green environments, sucking up enemies for new Copy Abilities, and wielding a Master Sword inspired weapon that lets him chop through obstacles. King Dedede shows up as a boss, and the back half of the trailer hints at a Zelda inspired world beyond Kirby's usual surroundings. The game is part of a larger celebration planned for the character's 35th anniversary.

LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight

LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight launches worldwide on Switch 2 September 18, with Standard and Deluxe Editions. The physical release ships as a game key card. Alongside the launch, the Mayhem Collection DLC drops the same day, introducing a new Mayhem Mode with The Joker and Harley Quinn as playable characters.

Mario Kart World Update

Mario Kart World received a free update today. Ten classic courses from the original Super Mario Kart are joining VS Race mode, and two new Knockout Tour rallies were added as well. The update brings back plenty of nostalgic tracks that longtime fans will recognize.

Meccha Chameleon

Meccha Chameleon, the indie hide-and-seek hit that already topped 15 million sales on Steam, is coming to Switch 2 today. The game has players on the hiding team paint themselves to blend into their surroundings, while the seeking team scans the environment for anything suspicious.

Mega Man: Dual Override

Capcom confirmed Mega Man: Dual Override for spring 2027 across PS5, PS4, Switch, Switch 2, Xbox Series X and S, Xbox One, and PC. New amiibo for Mega Man and Proto Man will release alongside it. Proto Man is playable this time, bringing a shield based fighting style that contrasts with Mega Man's ranged attacks. Custom Chips let players mix and match abilities, and both characters can unleash a new Override form to take down the Robot Masters. The game will also be featured at the Capcom Spotlight broadcast during Tokyo Game Show on September 16.

Metroid Ravenous

The next entry in the 2D Metroid series was revealed as Metroid Ravenous, launching January 28, 2027. The trailer shows Samus facing enemies that drain her energy, hinting at a darker tone for the character. It appears to follow directly from Mercury Steam's acclaimed Metroid Dread, which sold 2.9 million copies in its first six months, making it the series' best seller. A special edition with two new amiibo will accompany the launch.

Metal Slug Ultimate Collection

SNK is celebrating Metal Slug's 30th anniversary with the Metal Slug Ultimate Collection, bringing together ten games from the franchise, including a prototype called Metal Slug Location Test Build that was never released. Developer M2, known for its meticulous game collections, is handling the compilation. It includes a Museum mode with development galleries, online leaderboards, save states, rewind functionality, and a Combat School mode for learning the basics. SNK also confirmed a mobile spinoff, Metal Slug Rush, and teased that another all new numbered entry is in development. The collection arrives on Switch 2, Switch, PS5, Xbox Series X and S, and PC sometime in 2027.

Monster Hunter Wilds Switch 2 Edition and Ascension Expansion

Monster Hunter Wilds is coming to Switch 2 on December 5, bundled with all of its free content updates, including new monsters added since launch. Local co-op support returns as well, letting players team up the old-fashioned way. Nintendo also reminded viewers that Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascension, the game's first major expansion, is still on the way with a new hunting region, story quests, and monsters.

Nintendo Switch Sports Resort

Nintendo Switch Sports Resort is an exclusive motion control game set on Wuhu Island, launching October 22 on Switch 2. Twelve sports are playable using the Joy-Con 2 controllers directly, plus a separate Jump Rope activity for warming up. Beyond competing in matches, players can explore the island freely, chase dolphins, and hunt for hidden hibiscus flowers. A new offline mode called Island Crown lets players climb rankings to challenge the Island Champion, with an even tougher Island Legend waiting beyond that. Up to four players can compete locally, and online modes include a competitive Pro League. Each sport uses unique controls, from mouse controls for skateboarding to tilt steering for Power Cruising.

Ondeh Ondeh Kaya's Tasty Tale

Bandai Namco revealed Ondeh Ondeh Kaya's Tasty Tale for Switch 2, targeting a 2027 release. Developed by Metronomik, the rhythm and puzzle adventure draws on Southeast Asian culture, music, and cuisine. Players control Kaya as she sets out to become a Worldbuilder like her parents, gathering Giants across the world and performing a Renewal Ritual to restore the world's flavors. Music sits at the center of the experience, tying rhythm gameplay directly into exploration, puzzle solving, and combat.

Onyx: The Dark Grip

Bloober Team, the studio behind the Silent Hill 2 Remake and Cronos: The New Dawn, revealed a new horror game called Onyx: The Dark Grip. It is coming exclusively to Switch 2 in 2027. The reveal trailer showed off touchscreen and tilt mechanics that require handheld mode, making it a horror experience you can carry with you. Players control Holden, a man trapped in a fog covered town after being beckoned by a mysterious voice, forced to explore unsettling locations and read the minds of the people he meets.

Persona 4 Revival and Persona 6

Persona fans had plenty to celebrate. Persona 4 Revival is confirmed for Switch 2, launching May 20, 2027, three months after its February 18 release on other platforms. The remake keeps the original's murder mystery narrative intact while updating visuals and adding nuance to certain character arcs, particularly Yosuke's storyline.

Persona 6 was also confirmed for Switch 2. Atlus has not shared a protagonist, setting, or release window yet.

Pikmin 4 Switch 2 Edition

Pikmin 4, originally released in 2023, is getting a Switch 2 Edition bundled with a new mode called Dandori Academy. The mode challenges players to collect treasure as quickly as possible across a growing set of stages, with weekend exams, online leaderboards, and three difficulty tiers. Seventy two stages will roll out over time. The core game remains built around guiding Pikmin of different types and colors, along with the Rescue Pup Oatchi, through puzzle solving, treasure hunting, and both above ground and cave based exploration.

Pokemon Pokopia Expansion Pass Part 2

The Pokemon Company shared new details on Pokemon Pokopia's Expansion Pass Part 2, due out in late 2026. The cozy life sim DLC adds accessories for Ditto and other Pokemon, including sunglasses, bow ties, and items that let Ditto match the appearance of other Pokemon, like a Sylveon ribbon.

Professor Layton and the New World of Steam

After a long hiatus, Professor Layton and the New World of Steam is officially set for December 10 on PS5, Switch 2, Switch, and PC. Developer Level-5 confirmed the game will feature the biggest collection of puzzles in series history. The story reunites Herschel Layton with a slightly older Luke to uncover a fresh mystery. Switch 2 players will be able to use mouse controls for puzzle solving, a nice callback to the series' DS roots where touchscreen taps were the norm.

Resident Evil 2, 3, and 4 Remakes

Capcom confirmed the Resident Evil 2, 3, and 4 remakes are heading to Switch 2, arriving digitally on October 16 with physical versions following in January 2027. Each game will include its respective DLC, including Resident Evil 4's Separate Ways expansion. The titles are not being bundled as a single collection, so players can pick and choose which ones to buy. With these ports, most of the mainline Resident Evil catalog becomes natively playable on Switch 2, with only 1, 5, and 6 relying on backward compatibility from the original Switch. Capcom also confirmed the next remake in the works is Resident Evil Veronica, expected sometime next year.

Romancing SaGa 3: Destinies United

Square Enix announced Romancing SaGa 3: Destinies United, a full 3D remake of the 1995 classic, launching February 16, 2027 across PS5, Xbox Series, Switch 2, Switch, and PC. The story follows the return of Morastrum, the Star of Death, and the fight to stop the Four Sinistrals from reopening the gates to the Abyss. Players can choose from eight protagonists and recruit more than twenty allies. The remake keeps the freeform scenario system that made the original so replayable, alongside a new timeline based battle system and United Attacks for deeper tactics. Original composer Kenji Ito supervised the newly arranged soundtrack, and players can switch between original and arranged tracks at will.

Stage Fright

Hello Games and Ghost Town Games, the studio behind Overcooked, revealed a collaboration called Stage Fright. It is a co-op platforming adventure set in a spooky world, coming to Switch and Switch 2 in 2027. It marks a departure from both studios' usual work, blending Hello Games' publishing reach with Ghost Town's knack for chaotic multiplayer design.

Star Fox and Star Fox Adventures

Nintendo announced a free update for Star Fox launching September 29, adding 4 player split screen support to Battle Mode along with three new stages, Katina, Sector X, and Venom. Star Fox Adventures is also joining Nintendo GameCube Classics for Switch Online plus Expansion Pack members the same day. The main Star Fox release, a remake of Star Fox 64, is available now for 49.99 dollars digitally or 59.99 physically, and already includes branching missions, 4v4 online multiplayer, and mouse controls.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered and Songs of the Past

CD Projekt Red confirmed The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered is coming to Switch 2 on September 29, bringing visual and gameplay upgrades to the generation defining RPG. The remaster includes both Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine expansions.

A brand new paid expansion, Songs of the Past, is planned for 2027 and will send Geralt to the region of Letten, a seemingly peaceful land hiding a darker secret.

Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis

Crystal Dynamics, Amazon Game Studios, and Flying Wild Hog opened pre-orders for Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis on Switch 2, with physical editions also available at select retailers. The game releases February 12, 2027 across Switch 2, PS5, Xbox Series X and S, and PC. Standard, Deluxe, and Collector's Editions are all available, with the top tier including a Lara Croft statue, a mini art book, and other collectibles. The story follows Lara on a globe spanning hunt for the secrets of Atlantis, reimagining classic moments like the T-Rex battle with modern visuals and mechanics.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Switch 2 Edition

Xenoblade Chronicles 3, originally released in July 2022, is getting a Switch 2 Edition on December 3, available both as a standalone release and an upgrade pack for existing owners. The update introduces a new Heroes' Vault mode where players fend off waves of enemies before facing a powerful final boss, strengthening their party between rounds. A new Hero named Shimmer also joins the roster, bringing rapid fire combos and a Foresight ability that lets her see attacks coming.

Yo-kai Watch 2: Haunted Domain

Level-5 confirmed Yo-kai Watch 2: Haunted Domain is in development for Switch 2, though no release window was given. The game is a remake of Yo-kai Watch 2, originally released on Nintendo 3DS as Bony Spirits, Fleshy Souls, and Psychic Specters. Players once again follow Nate as he befriends Yo-kai and works through the series' mysterious adventures, with enhanced graphics and some new content layered on top.

Yu-Gi-Oh! GX Tag Force

Yu-Gi-Oh! Tag Force GX, a re-release of the third Tag Force game, is coming to Switch and Switch 2 on February 16, 2027, alongside a Steam release. Players enroll at Duel Academy and can partner with more than a hundred characters, borrowing their decks to build a personalized dueling strategy.
