Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 has officially crossed 7 million copies sold worldwide, publisher Focus Entertainment has announced.
The milestone comes just nine months after its launch in September 2024, making it one of the fastest-selling and most successful titles in the Warhammer franchise’s gaming history.
“7 million Space Marines fighting to defend the Imperium,” read a celebratory post on social media. “You make the Emperor incredibly proud. Courage and honor, Brothers and Sisters.”
From Blockbuster Launch to Long-Term Success
Developed by Saber Interactive, Space Marine 2 was already a hit within weeks of release, selling 4.5 million copies in its first month alone. The game's intense third-person action, polished gameplay, and faithful adaptation of Warhammer lore captivated both fans and newcomers.
The commercial success has had major ripple effects:
Games Workshop, owner of the Warhammer 40K IP, reported significant royalty revenue from the title.
The overwhelming popularity of the game even prompted Saber and Focus to greenlight Space Marine 3 just six months after launch.
What’s Next for Space Marine 2?
Despite the early announcement of Space Marine 3, Saber Interactive has assured fans that Space Marine 2 will continue to receive support and post-launch content.
The upcoming Patch 8: Siege Update, due at the end of June 2025, will introduce:
Siege Mode: A new co-op game mode set on Kadaku, where three players defend an Imperial fortress from endless waves of Tyranid and Chaos enemies.
Two new DLC packs for Season Pass, Gold, and Ultra Edition owners:

Blood Angels Cosmetic Pack
Saber says the weapon adjustments in this update aren’t just for balance—they’re also meant to enhance the cool factor of gameplay.
