Unveiled with a haunting new trailer, Resident Evil Requiem is the ninth mainline entry in the legendary survival horror series. Set for release on February 27, 2026, the game will arrive on PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.

Built using Capcom’s RE ENGINE, Requiem is set once again in the iconic Raccoon City. Players will follow new protagonist Grace Ashcroft as she investigates a case that quickly spirals into a terrifying biohazard nightmare.

Capcom promises a terrifying blend of psychological horror and intense cinematic action—along with full localization in over a dozen languages. A playable demo is set to debut at Gamescom 2025.

Onimusha: Way of the Sword

Onimusha: Way of the Sword

Capcom also pulled back the curtain on Onimusha: Way of the Sword, the next evolution in its long-dormant samurai franchise. Set in a twisted version of Kyoto during the Edo period, the game stars legendary swordsman Miyamoto Musashi, who must wield his Oni Gauntlet to battle monstrous Genma and rival warriors.

The new trailer, titled “Formidable Foes Emerge,” introduced:

  • Sasaki Ganryu: A rival samurai also equipped with an Oni Gauntlet.

  • Genma Enemies: Including Kubi Akari and the towering Daidara.

  • A Surreal Setting: Featuring dreamlike, floating battlefields and magical traversal mechanics.

  • New Combat Features: Like the devastating “Issen” counter technique and dual-wielding hammer weapons.

  • A Mysterious Woman: Briefly seen emerging from the light of Musashi’s Oni Gauntlet.

Onimusha: Way of the Sword is targeting a 2026 launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

In the meantime, fans can explore the recently released remaster of Onimusha 2: Samurai’s Destiny, which adds new features like Hell mode, auto-saves, and more.
