This is the second project from Minakata Dynamics, following their 2023 logistics sim Railgrade. Where Railgrade experimented with vertical supply chains and modular train‑yard puzzles, Whiskerwood takes those lessons and expands them into a full‑fledged city‑building experience. Published by Hooded Horse, the game blends whimsical storytelling with deep simulation, offering a fresh twist on the colony‑sim genre.

The premise is as charming as it is chaotic: you guide plucky mouse colonists as they carve out a society under the oppressive paw of feline overlords. The world is a procedurally generated archipelago, and your task is to balance survival, diplomacy, and rebellion. Along the way, you’ll uncover lore about an ancient cat‑mouse war, negotiate with factions, and even pull off trade heists. It’s a mix of Tom & Jerry slapstick and RimWorld‑style emergent storytelling.
