For Indian players, this patch will arrive in Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) on November 13–14, 2025, in the morning. That means you’ll have to wait a few extra days, but the full Frosty Funland experience will be there.

Why Different Release Times?

The phased rollout may feel a little slow for eager players, but it serves important purposes. Developers use this system to keep server loads stable, detect early bugs, and ensure quality control before pushing the update to everyone. This way, players get a smoother experience when the update reaches full scale.

What’s New in PUBG Mobile 4.1?

The headline addition is the Frosty Funland mode, a limited-time event that transforms parts of Erangel, Livik, and Vikendi into a whimsical winter carnival. You’ll find Penguinville and smaller Penguin Towns filled with loot, ice sculptures, and quirky NPCs.

These AI characters aren’t just for show; they hand out quests, buffs, and even combat support. For example, the Ninja Penguin can be summoned to heal or fight alongside you, while the Gunsmith Polar Bear unlocks the powerful Salted Fish Rocket Launcher after completing missions.

The update also introduces new mobility options like the Penguin Snowball Launcher, which catapults you across the map, and Magic Ice Skates that let you slide into fights with style. If you’re more of a vehicle fan, the Penguin Snowmobile offers amphibious travel and even lets passengers throw snowballs for chip damage.

Classic maps are getting some love too. Erangel now features a revamped Boatyard and a reworked Water Town, both designed for vertical combat and tactical boat plays. A new hotspot, Penguin City, promises high-tier loot but also alerts nearby enemies when its main chest is opened.

On the balance side, assault rifles now have sharper damage drop-offs at range, shotguns have been toned down, and DMRs like the SKS and SLR benefit from improved recoil stability. The FAMAS gets a buff with new magazine options, making it more versatile in sustained fights.

Beyond Frosty Funland, the update expands World of Wonder with new racing templates, adds Metro Royale Chapter 29, and kicks off Cycle 9 Season 27 on November 11 with themed events like Crazy Chicken Day.

Quality-of-life tweaks include sharper audio, smoother ADS transitions, and visible reload progress bars.
