Xbox Cloud Gaming is starting to roll out for Xbox Insiders on Game Pass Core and Standard — breaking free from its long run as an Ultimate‑only perk.

Up until now, if you weren’t on the Ultimate plan, you couldn’t stream games or try PC versions through the cloud. But with this Insider test, Core and Standard members can finally stream Game Pass titles straight to consoles, PCs, browsers, and even smart TVs — no downloads, just sign in and play.

The update also brings select PC titles into the mix for Insiders, regardless of whether they’re subscribed to the PC Game Pass plan. To try them, players need to download the Xbox PC app, sign in, and pick from the available library. It’s still a limited rollout, but it signals that Microsoft is interested in making the ecosystem more interconnected across all platforms.

For those not familiar, Xbox Game Pass tiers break down like this:

  • Core – $10/month: online multiplayer + smaller console library.

  • Standard – $15/month: bigger library, but no day‑one releases.

  • PC Game Pass – $12/month: for PC gamers, includes EA Play + day‑ones.

  • Ultimate – $20/month: all of the above + EA Play + cloud gaming.

If Microsoft pushes this live for everyone, it could shake up how players pick their plans — especially with devices like the upcoming ROG Xbox Ally X and Ally (launching Oct 16, 2025) where cloud support is a big deal.

Right now, it’s still Insider‑only, so you’ll need the Insider app to sign up and test it early. Feedback from this group will likely decide how fast (or slow) it rolls out to everyone.
