Key Highlights
Junkster is a charming 3D action platformer from Stormcloud Games, launching on June 16 as a day-one Game Pass title. You play as construction bot UM-13 stranded on a junkyard planet, using a robo-wrench to platform, fight enemies, scavenge parts, and build and repair structures across around 20 missions. It sports a cell-shaded comic-book visual style and is priced as a budget title at around $10. Early impressions have been warm, praising its fun building and platforming hybrid and its accessibility.
Call of Duty: Vanguard is Sledgehammer Games' entry in the long-running franchise, set during World War II and released back in 2021. It features a character-driven campaign spanning multiple theaters of war, the returning Gunsmith weapon customization system in multiplayer, and a Zombies mode. It landed to a mixed reception on release, with Metacritic scores in the low 70s. Critics praised the campaign's entertainment value and solid gunplay, but pointed to a repetitive structure, a weak Zombies offering, and a lack of meaningful innovation for the series.
EA Sports FC 26 is EA's latest football simulation, developed by EA Canada and released in September 2025. This entry brought an overhaul to on-pitch gameplay with more realistic physics and AI, an improved Career Mode featuring unexpected in-season events, and enhancements across Ultimate Team and other modes. The reception was generally positive, with critics noting it as one of the stronger recent entries in the series. Praise focused on smoother, more realistic gameplay and improved dribbling mechanics. Some criticism remained around defensive AI and Career Mode depth, but overall it is a solid step forward for the franchise.
Abyssus is a fast-paced co-op roguelite first-person shooter from DoubleMoose Games, published by The Arcade Crew. Set in a brinepunk underwater world, up to four players blast through corrupted enemies, wield godly powers and blessings, manage charms, and tackle procedural runs with boss fights and deep build crafting. It launched on PC in Aug 2025 to very positive Steam reviews at around 85% approval. Critics highlighted the fun gunplay, chaotic co-op, and rewarding build variety as standout strengths. A strong pick if you enjoy roguelite shooters with friends.
RV There Yet? is a chaotic co-op driving adventure from Nuggets Entertainment, supporting up to four players. You pilot a battered RV through the perilous terrain of Mabutts Valley, working together to navigate obstacles, survive ragdoll mayhem, and get your vehicle out of increasingly absurd jams. It originally launched on PC in late 2025 and earned very positive Steam reviews at around 89% approval. Players have praised it for its hilarious group chaos and friendship-testing co-op moments, though solo play is notably less fun and some bugs have been flagged.
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 + 4 is the latest entry in the revived THPS remake series, developed by Iron Galaxy Studios and published by Activision. It combines rebuilt versions of both Pro Skater 3 and Pro Skater 4 with new content, additional skaters, enhanced Create-a-Park tools, and the fluid combo-driven skating gameplay the series is known for. It launched in 2025 to a generally favorable but slightly divided reception, with Steam reviews sitting at around 69% positive. Core skating and presentation received strong praise, while some fans expressed disappointment over changes to certain THPS4 levels and missing soundtrack elements. It is still a fun revival for anyone who grew up with the series, and it arrives on Game Pass on July 2.
Winds of Arcana: Ruination is a story-rich 2.5D Metroidvania from Brewed Games, published by 1312 Interactive. You play as Aryn, exploring a sundered world with customizable combat options including swords, chakrams, and magic, alongside precision platforming and boss fights woven through lore inspired by Indian mythology. It launched on PC in late 2025 to mostly positive Steam reviews at around 77% approval. Critics praised its solid Metroidvania foundation, addictive combat, and distinctive art direction, though technical bugs and some design inconsistencies were noted.
Games Leaving Xbox Game Pass on June 30
These titles are heading out at the end of the month, so clear your schedule before they go:
Mecha Break (Cloud, Console, and PC)
Payday 2 (Console)
Rise of the Tomb Raider (Cloud, Console, and PC)
Tomb Raider (Cloud, Console, and PC)
Slay the Spire (Cloud, Console, and PC)
Ultimate Chicken Horse (Cloud, Console, and PC)
Volcano Princess (Cloud, Console, and PC)
Unpacking (Cloud, Console, and PC)
Slay the Spire is one of the most acclaimed roguelike deckbuilders ever made, holding overwhelmingly positive reviews and near-universal recognition as a genre-defining game.
Unpacking is a quiet, emotional gem that tells a life story entirely through the act of arranging objects in new homes, and it has been a fan favorite since its 2021 release.
Ultimate Chicken Horse is a brilliant chaotic party platformer that remains one of the best games to play with a group of friends.
Both Tomb Raider titles from Crystal Dynamics are also worth finishing before they go. The 2013 reboot and Rise of the Tomb Raider are two of the strongest action-adventure games of their era, and Rise in particular is considered the better of the two for its expanded world and improved combat. If any of these are sitting unfinished in your library, June 30 is the deadline.
