Editions and Pricing

Both Yakuza Kiwami and Yakuza Kiwami 2 will be digital-first releases, priced at:

  • Yakuza Kiwami (Digital Standard Edition): $29.99 USD

  • Yakuza Kiwami 2 (Digital Standard Edition): $29.99 USD

If you’re planning to grab both, Sega is also offering a Yakuza Kiwami & Kiwami 2 Bundle for $49.99 USD, which saves you roughly $10 and includes shared progression bonuses, cross-game unlocks, and exclusive cosmetics.

Physical editions are planned for later in 2025, though exact shipment dates may vary by retailer and region.

File Size Details

Let’s talk storage — because both games are fairly hefty in size, especially for handheld players. Sega confirmed the following file sizes for each version:

Yakuza Kiwami

  • Nintendo Switch: 21.5 GB

  • Nintendo Switch 2: 20.2 GB (optimized for new hardware)

Yakuza Kiwami 2

  • Nintendo Switch: 39.1 GB

  • Nintendo Switch 2: 28.2 GB

If you’re picking up both titles or the bundle, you’ll need roughly 50 GB of free space for installation, a fair trade for over 80 hours of dramatic, action-packed storytelling. The Switch 2 versions have been carefully optimized to run at 1080p/60 FPS in docked mode and 720p/60 FPS in handheld mode, with reduced texture compression compared to the original PS4 versions.

Both games are designed primarily for Nintendo Switch 2, but they’re also backward compatible with the standard Nintendo Switch, though with slightly scaled-down visuals and frame rates.

Additionally, both titles support multiple new languages, including French, Italian, German, Spanish, Latin American Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, and Russian, a first for these remakes.
