Zenless Zone Zero Coming to Xbox Series X|S in June 2025 with Major 2.0 Update

HoYoverse has announced that its action-RPG Zenless Zone Zero will launch on Xbox Series X|S in June 2025. The news was revealed during a recent Xbox Spotlight stream dedicated to the game.

This Xbox release will coincide with the game's major 2.0 expansion update, giving Xbox players access to the latest content right from the start.

According to the presentation, the Xbox version will take full advantage of the console's capabilities with several technical enhancements. The game will run at native 4K resolution with a smooth 60 frames per second, showcasing the game's anime art style and combat system in the best possible light.

Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers will receive additional benefits with their membership. They'll be able to play Zenless Zone Zero across multiple devices beyond just Xbox consoles through Xbox Cloud Gaming. The developer has also confirmed that Game Pass Ultimate members will receive special in-game rewards such as Polychromes and Dennies after each major update.

The game will support cross-progression and flexible server selection, allowing players to link their existing accounts from other platforms. This means gamers who already play on PlayStation, PC, Android, or iOS can continue their progress seamlessly when switching to Xbox.

As for the 2.0 update, it introduces a new chapter to the game's story. Players will explore the Waifei Peninsula, a brand new location filled with fresh challenges. The expansion brings new characters to meet and new "Hollows"-spawned monsters to battle.

Zenless Zone Zero is one of HoYoverse's most successful titles, joining other popular games like Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail. The action-RPG takes place in the urban fantasy world of New Eridu, where players work to protect the city from dangerous creatures known as Ethereals.
