What’s New in Season 1
Battlefield 6 Season 1 will roll out in three phases: Rogue Ops (Oct 28), California Resistance (Nov 18), and Winter Offensive (Dec 9), each bringing new maps, modes, weapons, and features.
Rogue Ops – October 28
The first phase, Rogue Ops, kicks off Season 1 on October 28. This update sets the tone for the season with a mix of tactical gameplay and large-scale combat.
Blackwell Fields (Map): A sprawling desert air base designed for both infantry skirmishes and vehicle warfare.
Strikepoint (Mode): A 4v4 tactical elimination mode where squads fight to capture objectives in tight, round-based battles.
Traverser Mark 2 (Vehicle): A new APC built for squad transport and support roles.
New Weapons: SOR-300SC carbine, Mini Scout sniper rifle, and GGH-22 sidearm.
Attachments: Rail Cover and LPVO scope for more weapon customization.
California Resistance – November 18
The second phase, California Resistance, arrives on November 18 and shifts the action to the suburbs of the U.S.
Eastwood (Map): A suburban combat zone that mixes infantry combat with vehicle and helicopter support.
Sabotage (Mode): An 8v8 mode where teams attack or defend key sites in timed rounds, adding a layer of strategy.
Battle Pickups (Feature): High-powered weapons scattered across the map with limited ammo, rewarding map control.
New Weapons: DB-12 dual-barrel shotgun and M327 revolver.
Attachment: Slim Handstop, a new underbarrel grip for improved handling.
Winter Offensive – December 9
The final phase of Season 1, Winter Offensive, drops on December 9. While it doesn’t add a brand-new map, it delivers a festive twist.
Ice Lock Empire State (Map Update): A snow-covered reimagining of the Empire State map.
Ice Lock (Event): A limited-time event featuring “Freeze,” a modifier that changes gameplay dynamics.
New Melee Weapon: Ice Climbing Axe, expanding melee options beyond knives and hammers.
Battle Pass and Rewards
Season 1 also introduces Battlefield 6’s Battle Pass system, built around the four class archetypes: Assault, Recon, Engineer, and Support. Both free and premium tracks are available, offering rewards such as:
Weapon blueprints
Specialist skins
Parachute camos
Charms and patches
Update 1.1.1.0 Improvements
Before the seasonal content unlocks, players will notice significant improvements thanks to the patch. Movement has been reworked for smoother vaulting and landings, weapon handling has been balanced for fairer firefights, and lighting/visibility tweaks make interiors and fog transitions clearer. Audio has also been overhauled, with sharper explosions, better vehicle acoustics, and more immersive environmental soundscapes.
Bug fixes cover everything from hitbox accuracy to animation syncing, while vehicles and gadgets now feel more responsive. Maps like Mirak Valley and Siege of Cairo have received spawn and objective adjustments, and UI updates add clearer markers, gadget previews, and ultrawide display fixes. All details are here.
