Battlefield 6 Season 1 Roadmap Revealed: New Maps, Modes, and Weapons Coming Post-Launch

Battlefield 6 Season 1 will officially begin on October 28, 2025, bringing the game’s first major wave of free post-launch content across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

Electronic Arts and DICE have confirmed the roadmap for the upcoming season, detailing three waves of new content, Rogue Ops, California Resistance, and Winter Offensive, scheduled to roll out between October and December. The updates include new maps, game modes, vehicles, and weapons.

When Season 1 Goes Live

Battlefield 6 launched globally on October 10, and just 18 days later, Season 1 will kick off on October 28. Unlike some previous entries in the series, there’s no early access advantage for premium players; this means everyone begins Season 1 on equal footing.

The content rollout is divided into three major updates:

  • Rogue Ops (October 28)

  • California Resistance (November 18)

  • Winter Offensive (December 9)

Rogue Ops: Season 1’s Opening Phase

The first wave of content, Rogue Ops, arrives October 28 and introduces:

  • Blackwell Fields (Map) – A sprawling desert air base with support for both infantry and vehicle combat.

  • Strikepoint (Mode) – A tactical 4v4 mode where squads fight in elimination rounds to capture objectives.

  • Traverser Mark 2 (Vehicle) – A new Armored Personnel Carrier designed for squad transport and support.

  • New Weapons – The SOR-300SC carbine rifle, the Mini Scout sniper rifle, and the GGH-22 sidearm.

  • Attachments – The Rail Cover and LPVO scope, adding more customization for rifles and LMGs.

California Resistance: Expanding the Warfront

On November 18, Battlefield 6 will shift focus to the U.S. suburbs in California Resistance, which brings:

  • Eastwood (Map) – A suburban combat zone featuring both ground vehicles and helicopters.

  • Sabotage (Mode) – An 8v8 mode focused on attacking or defending key sites in timed rounds.

  • Battle Pickups (Feature) – High-powered weapons scattered across the map, limited in ammo and availability.

  • New Weapons – The DB-12 dual-barrel shotgun and the M327 revolver.

  • Slim Handstop (Attachment) – A new underbarrel grip option.

Winter Offensive: Seasonal Update with a Frosty Twist

Closing out the roadmap is Winter Offensive, launching December 9. While it doesn’t include a brand-new map, it delivers a seasonal overhaul:

  • Ice Lock Empire State (Map Update) – A snow-covered reimagining of the existing Empire State map.

  • Ice Lock (Event) – A limited-time event introducing “Freeze,” a gameplay modifier active in specific experiences.

  • Ice Climbing Axe (Melee) – A new melee weapon that expands the category beyond knives and hammers.

Battlefield 6 Season 1 Preview features maps like Blackwell Fields and Eastwood. New modes, weapons, and updates listed, with red/black theme.
