bgmi

Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) has released its new 3.8 update, adding exciting features like Steampunk Frontier Mode and special content made just for Indian players.

Steampunk Frontier Mode Takes Center Stage

Running from May 15 to July 14, the Steampunk Frontier Mode transforms the battlefield into Aetherholm, an advanced steampunk city.

In this mode, players can engage in Titan Battles at Ruined Castle to earn powerful rewards as part of the global Attack on Titan collab.

These large-scale boss fights present a new challenge for teams looking to secure high-value loot.

Movement has been revolutionized with the addition of the Slide Rail System, allowing quick tactical movements across the map. Players can now zip between locations to outmaneuver opponents or escape dangerous situations.

Hot Air Balloons provide a vertical advantage, giving teams better visibility and positioning during combat.

The mode also introduces Cyclone Coasters, high-speed railways that help players make rapid escapes or launch surprise attacks.

For those who prefer stealth, Secret Treasure Rooms scattered throughout the map contain valuable gear for those lucky enough to find them.

Drawing inspiration from popular anime Attack on Titan, the update includes ODM Gear and Giant Form abilities that add variety to combat tactics.

The entire mode is wrapped in a consistent steampunk aesthetic, from weapons to user interface elements.

Anniversary Celebrations and Gameplay Improvements

To mark BGMI's journey in India, the Anniversary Crate offers upgraded versions of fan-favorite weapons. Players can now access enhanced versions of the UZI, GROZA, UMP45, and M16A4, all featuring special designs to commemorate the occasion.

The update brings practical gameplay enhancements as well. A new vehicle called the Fila UAZ offers improved durability and better protection for drivers.

One of the most requested features has finally arrived – players can now fire one-handed weapons while driving.

Weapon enthusiasts will appreciate the addition of the JS9 SMG, a lightweight submachine gun with fast firing rates and manageable recoil patterns.

For competitive players, the new Solo Arena Mode introduces 1v1 battles for anyone above Level 10, perfect for honing combat skills.

India-Exclusive Partnerships and Events

BGMI has partnered with PepsiCo's Sting® energy drink, making it the official in-game energy booster. This collaboration includes branded in-game items and co-branded Sting® bottles that will be available in stores across India.

Cricket fans haven't been forgotten in this update. The Cricket League Exchange Center event lets players earn tokens and win jerseys representing popular Indian IPL-like cricket teams, Chennai Star Knights and Mumbai Invincibles.

The Discovery Island Event, running from May 17 to July 1, allows players to contribute to the BMPS 2025 prize pool. By earning Exploration Points in Classic Mode, players can help raise the prize pool to Rs 4 Crore, supporting the esports ecosystem.
