What Is New in the BGMI 4.3 Update

The new update aligns with the global release of PUBG Mobile 4.3 Update, launching on March 12. The game is celebrating its 8th anniversary, with most features designed to spark nostalgia and improve mechanics based on player feedback.

The Indian version has had an on-and-off relationship due to two bans and a rebrand, so the 8th anniversary isn’t officially marked there, but most of the features will still match the global update. Here’s a breakdown of the key additions coming with this update:

Updated UI - The developers have simplified the layout, adjusted the color scheme, and reduced visual clutter to give players a cleaner experience.

New Theme Mode: The Evolving Universe mode - Players can explore the map to uncover hidden treasures, which might include vintage weapons or skins from earlier updates.

Map Changes: The map now features four hot drops (increased from two) and a Dynamic Slide Rail for fast traversal.

New Items and Weapons:

  • Energy Shield: Provides protection against throwables like grenades for 15 seconds.

  • M1 Garand Gun: a semi-automatic 7.62 rifle known for its accuracy and serious damage output.

  • The Floating Thruster: attaches to any vehicle and gives it a rechargeable nitro boost for extra speed.

  • The Armored Flare Gun: a custom BRDM equipped with a .50 caliber machine gun, and passengers can fire while the vehicle is moving.

Mini-Games: Players can participate in a Parachute Challenge to land on a target for loot, and a Racing Challenge.

Specialization Powers: Players can choose specific powers at the start of the match, such as:

  • Healing (speeds up revives)

  • Perception (lets you detect enemies and vehicles through walls while prone)

  • Combat (speed boost after knocking or eliminating an opponent)

  • Vehicle Expert (reduces fuel consumption, lowers damage taken, and unlocks Nitro boost access)

Ancient Secret Mode: The popular Ancient Secret theme mode returns, allowing players to fight mummy bosses.

To explain the update, the dev released a video featuring content creators Ravi Gupta, Joker Ki Haveli, Shreeman Legend, and Bachu in a comedy sketch that humorously “leaks” the BGMI 4.3 Update.
