Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) is entering another exciting chapter on its road to international recognition. Just days after the reports on BGMI Showdown 2025, which grants its winner a direct slot to the PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) 2025, Krafton has now reportedly announced a second major event.

The BGMI India-Korea-Japan Invitational will run from October 31 to November 2, 2025, bringing together some of the best squads from across the three regions for a high-stakes LAN tournament.

₹1 Crore Prize Pool and a PMGC 2025 Slot on the Line

The Invitational will feature a prize pool of ₹1 crore, but the real reward lies beyond the money. The winning team is expected to earn a direct qualification slot for PMGC 2025 in Thailand, making this the second international berth available to Indian teams this year (kinda third if we consider the latest EWC spot).

With the BGMI Showdown already offering the first slot in September, the Invitational creates the possibility of double Indian representation at PUBG Mobile’s biggest stage — something fans have long been waiting for.

Tournament Format

The event will see 16 teams competing over three days in a LAN setting.

8 of those will come from BGMI Showdown 2025, while 4-4 teams each from Korea and Japan will round out the roster.

Building Momentum in BGMI Esports

This announcement comes at a time when BGMI esports is buzzing with momentum. Earlier this year, Team Aryan x TMG Esports represented India at the Esports World Cup 2025 in Riyadh, earning a chicken dinner — a feat last achieved by an Indian team at PMGC 2021 with GodLike.

With the BGMI Showdown (Sept 18–Oct 12 in Hyderabad) already grabbing attention, the addition of the Invitational ensures that fans will have back-to-back premier events in October and November.

A Legacy of International Clashes

The upcoming tournament builds on the legacy of the BGMI India-Korea Invitational 2023, which was held in Delhi at Bharat Mandapam. That event marked the first international BGMI competition on Indian soil and featured iconic Indian teams like GodLike and Team Soul facing powerhouse Korean rosters such as Dplus KIA and ZZ. While Korean teams dominated the standings, the event drew packed venues and record-breaking viewership, proving the massive appetite for global BGMI competition in India.

With the Showdown in September and the Invitational in October, Indian BGMI esports is set for an action-packed finish to 2025 — and fans won’t want to miss a single match.
