Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is officially set to launch on November 14, 2025, and players are now gearing up for one of the franchise’s busiest release windows in years.
While Call of Duty barely needs an introduction at this point, it’s still wild to see how firmly the series continues to dominate the FPS space. Even after Microsoft’s huge acquisition of Activision Blizzard, the franchise has kept its momentum, and every new entry gets treated like a major global event. Black Ops 7, Treyarch’s direct sequel to 2024’s Black Ops 6, is shaping up to follow the same trend, even with Battlefield 6 and ARC Raiders giving the genre some serious competition.
Thankfully, all release timings are now official. Treyarch, Raven Software, and Xbox Game Studios have confirmed the global rollout schedule, and while it’s straightforward for PC, the console times are a little unusual.

Black Ops 7 Launch Times
Black Ops 7’s official global release date is November 14, 2025, but the actual rollout depends heavily on the platform.
Console Release Times (Xbox & PlayStation, plus Xbox PC App)
Consoles will get access earlier than PC storefronts. The game begins unlocking at midnight local time on Friday, November 14, 2025, in most regions.
This is a rolling global rollout, starting with the first time zones to hit midnight (like New Zealand and Australia) and progressing westward. However, there are some US-specific alignments to ensure a smoother simultaneous launch across North America.
Here's a breakdown by major time zones/regions:
Pacific Time (PT, West Coast US) Thursday, November 13 – 9:00 PM PT
Central Time (CT, US/Mexico) Thursday, November 13 – 11:00 PM CT
Eastern Time (ET, East Coast US) Friday, November 14 – 12:00 AM ET
Brazil Time (BRT) Friday, November 14 – 12:00 AM BRT
Greenwich Mean Time (GMT, UK) Friday, November 14 – 12:00 AM GMT
Central European Time (CET) Friday, November 14 – 12:00 AM CET
Japan Standard Time (JST) Friday, November 14 – 12:00 AM JST
Australian Eastern Daylight Time (AEDT) Friday, November 14 – 12:00 AM AEDT
Steam & Battle.net Release Times

Black Ops 7 File Sizes
Call of Duty is notorious for heavy installs, and Black Ops 7 continues that legacy. File size varies based on platform and which components you install (Campaign, Zombies, Multiplayer, Warzone, etc.).
Here are the reported sizes:
PlayStation - 96.677 GB
Xbox - 214.8 GB
PC - 162.45 GB
Several reports suggest that Xbox players may hit nearly 300 GB total if they install everything, including Warzone’s extra 80 GB.
Zombies: Main Quest Release Time
Call of Duty’s fan-favorite Zombies mode is back, and Black Ops 7 is launching with a full suite of content, including multiple maps, Dead Ops Arcade, and a new main quest.
However, the main quest won’t go live immediately. It will go live around 12 hours after the main game becomes available. Zombies will still be fully playable from launch, but certain secrets, wonder weapons, and easter eggs will remain locked until the quest goes live.
PT (Pacific Time) — 10:00 AM, Nov 14
CT (Central Time) — 12:00 PM, Nov 14
ET (Eastern Time) — 1:00 PM, Nov 14
GMT (UK) — 5:00 PM, Nov 14
AST (Australian Standard Time) — 3:00 AM, Nov 15
You can still hop into Zombies early to grind XP, level up, and progress your Research features before the quest unlocks.
Directed Mode is also skipping launch and will instead arrive at the start of Season 01 later in the year.
Balance Updates
Just hours before release, Activision and Treyarch published the full Day One patch notes, detailing changes based on beta feedback. According to the developers, aim assist tuning, movement responsiveness, XP balance, and weapon adjustments have all been refined ahead of launch. Players can find the complete list on the official site.
Black Ops 7 is available to preorder now on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4, and PC (Steam, Battle.net, Xbox app) for $69.99. And it is also launching on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass.
