While Activision has yet to officially confirm the release date for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, new leaks suggest that the game is scheduled to launch globally on Friday, November 14, 2025.
This information comes from reliable Call of Duty leaker TheGhostOfHope, who has a solid track record when it comes to early intel on the franchise.
If true, this would make Black Ops 7 the latest-releasing Call of Duty game ever, narrowly surpassing Black Ops Cold War, which launched on November 13, 2020. In comparison, last year’s Black Ops 6 dropped on October 25, 2024, meaning this year’s entry would arrive about three weeks later than its predecessor.
Typically, Call of Duty titles launch in late October or early November. A mid-November release window, while unusual, is not entirely out of character for the series. However, it does raise questions about the timing of post-launch updates and Warzone integration, which usually roll out before the year-end holidays.
As per reports, Activision is expected to reveal Black Ops 7 during Gamescom Opening Night Live on August 19, where fans might get a full trailer and more clarity on the beta schedule and final release date.
That’s not all—the Call of Duty Next showcase is also reportedly set for late September in Las Vegas, offering players a deeper dive into gameplay and content, followed by the game’s open beta.
Interestingly, the rumored November release could align well with Xbox’s packed schedule. Major titles like Ninja Gaiden 4 and The Outer Worlds 2 are already locked in for October, potentially leaving that mid-November slot open for Call of Duty to dominate.
Although nothing is official just yet, TheGhostOfHope’s leak has stirred up plenty of buzz, especially given his history of accurate predictions. Still, it’s wise to treat the information cautiously until Activision makes a formal announcement.
