Capcom has released updated sales figures for its top-performing franchises. The latest data covers sales up to June 30, 2025, and includes both physical and digital copies across multiple platforms.
One of the most notable highlights is Monster Hunter Rise, which has sold an additional 400,000 units in just three months, bringing its lifetime sales to 17.5 million units. This firmly secures its place as Capcom’s second best-selling game of all time, behind Monster Hunter: World, which still leads with 21.7 million units sold.
The newest entry, Monster Hunter Wilds, released in February 2025, has already reached 10 million units in its first month, making it the eighth best-selling Capcom title ever. However, backlash over poor optimization has hurt the game significantly, as it only moved 400k units last quarter, slightly less than the nearly four-year-old Rise.
The Resident Evil franchise also saw healthy growth. Resident Evil Village has hit 12.2 million units sold, while the Resident Evil 4 remake has crossed the 10.6 million mark. Older entries are still going strong too — Resident Evil 7: Biohazard now stands at 15.4 million units, and the 2019 Resident Evil 2 remake has sold 15.8 million. Even Resident Evil 3 managed to add 300,000 units, reaching 10.2 million in total.
Outside of these two powerhouse series, Devil May Cry 5 has shown impressive staying power, climbing to 10.5 million units after selling an extra 1.4 million since the last update, all thanks to the recent release of the Netflix series.
Fighting games have had a decent showing as well — Street Fighter 6 has now sold 5.2 million copies across all platforms. Meanwhile, Dragon’s Dogma II continues to build momentum with 3.8 million units sold.
