Capcom has launched a fresh line of Dino Crisis merchandise in Japan, giving fans of the dormant survival horror series something new to get excited about after more than two decades without a mainline release. The collection features clothing, keychains, acrylic stands, and desk mats, covering all three games in the series — even the often-criticized third entry.

The merchandise was first spotted by users on ResetEra and social media, who noted that this isn’t something Capcom typically does for every old franchise. The release comes after multiple fan surveys from the publisher asking about interest in a Dino Crisis comeback. While there’s still no official confirmation of a remake or sequel, this merch drop is being seen by many as a positive sign that Capcom hasn’t forgotten about the series.

However, there’s a catch. The items aren’t simply available for direct purchase. Instead, they’re part of a lottery system in Japan, meaning fans won’t know which items they’ll get until they win — and international supporters face even more difficulty in getting their hands on them.

The last Dino Crisis game launched over 20 years ago, but demand for a revival has never completely faded. Many fans believe the most logical move would be a full remake of the first game using Capcom’s RE Engine, following the successful Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 4 remakes. Still, the company may be testing the waters before committing major resources to a series that has been dormant for so long.

Whether this is just nostalgia marketing or a sign of something bigger remains to be seen — but it’s certainly reignited the conversation about one of Capcom’s most requested revivals.
