Capcom wrapped up its June 2025 Spotlight event with a packed 40-minute presentation, revealing major updates for its upcoming and ongoing titles. The showcase focused heavily on four major games—Pragmata, Resident Evil Requiem, Street Fighter 6, and Monster Hunter Wilds—while also giving attention to Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess as it nears its one-year anniversary.
Here’s a full breakdown of everything shown during the Capcom Spotlight and what players can expect in the months ahead.
Pragmata Returns With Gameplay and New Details
The presentation opened with a deep dive into Pragmata, Capcom’s long-awaited sci-fi adventure, which finally gave fans a clearer look at gameplay. Set in an eerie, abandoned lunar research facility, the game follows Hugh Williams, a lunar investigator, and an android girl named Diana. Together, they face off against rogue robots while uncovering what went wrong on the moon.
Gameplay-wise, players will alternate between combat and puzzle-solving, using Hugh’s weapons and Diana’s hacking abilities. One of the standout features shown was the combat system, where Diana can weaken enemy defenses, giving Hugh an opening to strike.
Pragmata is scheduled to release in 2026 on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. A hands-on demo will also be playable at Gamescom 2025 in August.
Sagat Enters the Ring in Street Fighter 6
Capcom confirmed that Sagat will join the Street Fighter 6 roster on August 5, 2025, as part of the Year 3 content roadmap. Fans got a sneak peek at the Muay Thai legend in action, along with a new stage located in Thailand.
To accompany the release, the “Sagat Arrives Fighting Pass” launches July 4, bringing themed stickers, gear, EX Colors, and other cosmetics. This marks the beginning of Year 3, with characters like C. Viper, Ingrid, and Alex also set to join the lineup later.
In addition, Capcom showcased a new set of Outfit 4 summer swimsuit designs for seven fighters: Cammy, Luke, Chun-Li, Manon, Jamie, Kimberly, and A.K.I. These outfits are set to drop alongside Sagat’s debut on August 5.

Resident Evil Requiem Dives Into Story and Character Details
A big chunk of the spotlight went to Resident Evil Requiem, the ninth mainline title in the iconic horror franchise. The game is scheduled to release on February 27, 2026, for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
Capcom confirmed that the protagonist this time around is Grace Ashcroft, an FBI intelligence analyst who’s new to field work and prone to fear—quite the contrast to past RE protagonists. Her character design even reflects physical details like facial redness during intense sequences.
As for the much-discussed Leon S. Kennedy? Capcom finally addressed the elephant in the room. While Leon might appear in the story, the dev team explained why he’s not the lead this time. According to director Koshi Nakanishi, “He wouldn't jump at something like a bucket falling. No one wants to see Leon scared by every little thing. So he's actually quite a bad match for horror.”
Players will be able to switch freely between first- and third-person perspectives, offering both immersive horror and action-heavy gameplay styles. Set 30 years after the Raccoon City incident, Requiem promises a more reflective tone, connecting to long-time fans of the series.
Monster Hunter Wilds Takes Center Stage
Arguably the biggest part of the presentation was Monster Hunter Wilds. Capcom unveiled details about Title Update 2, which launches on June 30. This update includes two returning monsters: the fan-favorite Lagiacrus, now with underwater mechanics, and the fast-paced Seregios.
Players who reach HR41 and complete key missions can also take on 8-star Tempered versions of both monsters. On top of that, the Arch-tempered Uth Duna Event Quest kicks off on July 30 and runs through August 20, offering hunters the chance to earn exclusive gamma armor sets.
The update isn’t just about monsters. There’s a host of quality-of-life improvements, such as the ability to customize photo mode, summon support hunters, and unlock layered weapons. A new seasonal event, Festival of Accord: Flamefete, is scheduled from July 23 to August 6, bringing themed decorations, gear, and meals.
And for the 20th anniversary of Monster Hunter, Capcom is teaming up with Fender to introduce the Rathalos Telecaster—a real-life guitar now featured in-game as a special gesture, available via an Event Quest starting August 27.
Looking ahead, Title Update 3 is planned for late September, with even more monsters and seasonal events to follow.
Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess Celebrates One Year
Lastly, Capcom gave a nod to Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess, which celebrates its first anniversary next month. To mark the occasion, players across all platforms—including Nintendo Switch 2, which just received the game—will receive a free update featuring the “Yashichi Waves” Mazo Talisman. This item adds an 8-bit remix to the game’s soundtrack, giving it a retro flair.
The new update also introduces the “Otherworldly Venture” mode, where players face endless waves of enemies with randomized upgrades, making for a more unpredictable experience.
Path of the Goddess is available on all major platforms for $39.99, with support for mouse controls and various play modes on Switch 2.
