Esquie Plushies Coming Soon: Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Developer Plans Official Merchandise

Esquie Clair Obscur: Expedition 33

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 has taken the gaming world by storm, and now its breakout character, Esquie, could be headed from screen to shelf.

Sandfall Interactive has announced that it’s actively exploring the production of officially licensed Esquie plushies, following overwhelming fan demand.

The turn-based RPG launched on April 24 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, and it’s already proving to be a major hit. In just 12 days, the game has sold over two million copies, with physical editions flying off store shelves.

In a recent post on Twitter (now X), Sandfall Interactive warned fans about unofficial Esquie plushies appearing online. The studio cautioned that these listings could be scams and stressed that no official plush merchandise currently exists. That may soon change, however.

“We’re actively exploring options to create official Esquie plushies,” the studio shared, adding that they’re eager to make them available to fans “as quickly as possible.”

The enthusiasm around Esquie comes as no surprise. Since the game’s debut, the soft-spoken companion has quickly become a fan favorite—not just for his adorable looks, but for his powerful role in combat and emotional resonance. Many players have praised Esquie as one of the most useful (and beloved) characters in the entire game.

For now, fans will have to wait just a bit longer to hug their favorite magical companion in real life—but if Sandfall gets their way, Esquie plushies could soon be a reality.
