Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Season 2 begins on February 5 at 9 AM PT, bringing a massive wave of new content across Multiplayer, Zombies, Warzone, and Ranked Play.


Season 1 was already a strong debut, with Astra Malorum in Zombies and Haven’s Hollow in Warzone setting the tone for post-launch support. Now, Season 2 looks to expand that momentum with one of the most content-heavy updates in recent Call of Duty history.

Multiplayer Maps and Modes

Season 2 expands Multiplayer with a mix of new and returning battlegrounds. At launch, players get:

  • Torment (Small 6v6)

  • Sake (Medium 6v6)

  • Nexus (Small 2v2/6v6)

  • Slums (Medium 6v6) returning from Black Ops 2

Mid-season adds:

  • Torque (Small 6v6)

  • Mission: Peak (Skirmish map)

  • Cliff Town (Yemen reimagined, Medium 6v6)

  • Grind (Black Ops 6 version)

  • Firing Range (Black Ops 6 version)


Modes are equally diverse. Safeguard returns from Black Ops 3, while Overdrive debuts with buffs tied to kill streaks. Luck Confirmed offers a twist on Kill Confirmed with bonus drops, and Third Wheel Gunfight brings back the fan-favorite small-team mode. Later in the season, Gauntlet and Infected will join the rotation.

Weapons and Attachments

Five new weapons headline the launch window:

  • REV-46 SMG (Battle Pass)

  • EGRT-17 Assault Rifle (Battle Pass)

  • H311-SAW Melee Weapon (Battle Pass)

  • GDL Havoc Launcher (Weekly Challenges)

  • SG-12 Shotgun (Escalation Directive Event)

Mid-season adds:

  • Voyak KT-3 Assault Rifle

  • Swordfish A1 Marksman Rifle


Attachments like the XM325 Titan Wield, FANG HoverPoint ELO optic, A.R.C. M1 Assault Frame, and Razor 9mm Wildfire conversion expand customization, with more arriving mid-season.


Zombies Expansions

Zombies fans get Mars Survival, a new take on Astra Malorum with added features like Wall Buys, Pack-a-Punch, and Mystery Box. Cursed Survival introduces Relics to adjust difficulty, while Starting Room mode locks players into spawn areas for added challenge.


Mid-season will bring a new GobbleGum, Scorestreak, and eventually the round-based map Paradox Junction.


Endgame Updates

Endgame receives Guild Strikes and Nightmare Zones, tougher areas with higher rewards. Power Nodes boost Combat Ratings, while the new Eagle Eye Skill Tree adds abilities like Sentinel Protocol (summoning a Guild robot) and Blood Burner, reviving the Wonder Vehicle from Modern Warfare Zombies.


Warzone Updates

Warzone’s big change is the Rebirth Island Winter Refresh, a snowy version of the popular Resurgence map. New POIs like Turbine and Outpost, plus dynamic events such as gas zones, keep matches unpredictable.


Modes include Loaded Resurgence, Loaded Resurgence Casuals, and later Rush Resurgence, which speeds up redeploys. Mid-season brings Iron Gauntlet Beta and the highly anticipated Blackout on Avalon.


New perks debut as well:

  • Field Medic: faster revives, armor plate bonus, resistance to tactical effects

  • Drill Instructor: health regen while sprinting, team movement boost

  • Surveyor: highlights Buy Station interactions, expands UAV coverage, marks downed enemies nearby


Events and Rewards

Season 2 launches with four events:

  • Escalation Directive Camo Event

  • Mars Leaderboard Event (Zombies exclusive)

  • Hunt or Be Hunted Event

  • Dead Ops Arcade Leaderboard Event


Weekly Challenges add universal camos, while mid-season will feature the Paradox Junction Event.


Battle Pass Highlights

The Season 2 Battle Pass offers over 100 unlocks, including three free weapons: REV-46 SMG, EGRT-17 Assault Rifle, and H311-SAW Melee. Premium tracks cost 1,100 COD Points, while the BlackCell pass costs 2,400 COD Points and includes extra blueprints and tier skips.


Instant unlocks include the “Sage” skin for Victoria Atwood, “Malcontent” Razor 9mm blueprint, and animated cosmetics. According to Activision’s blog, players can also earn COD Points, charms, stickers, GobbleGums, and animated emblems.
