Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Slips to Second Place in Europe in Second Week

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 has dropped to second place in European sales charts during its second week on the market. According to GSD’s weekly report for the period ending November 23rd (via The Game Business), the game’s performance continues to reflect a disappointing launch, with sales down more than 50 percent compared to last year’s entry.

At the top of the charts, EA Sports FC 26 once again claimed the No.1 spot, showing no signs of slowing down. Right behind it, Battlefield 6 climbed into third place, giving EA a strong presence across the rankings.

Black Friday promotions also played a big role in reshuffling the charts. Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 and Ghost of Yōtei both jumped into the top ten revenue earners.

The only new release this week was Kirby Air Riders for the Nintendo Switch 2. While it failed to break into the top ten unit sales, it did manage to debut at tenth place in revenue. As Chris Dring of The Game Business noted, Kirby remains a smaller brand in Europe compared to its popularity in Japan, which explains the modest performance.

Final Thoughts

For Call of Duty fans, seeing Black Ops 7 slip so quickly is concerning, especially given its lukewarm reception. While EA continues to dominate with both sports and shooters, Activision will need to find ways to reignite interest in its flagship franchise. As players, we’ll be watching closely to see if holiday promotions or the upcoming Season 1—described by the devs as “the biggest season in franchise history”—can help turn things around.
